Hello everyone! I'm Lorentm, a digital artist passionate about creating unique characters and bold reinterpretations of well-known icons. Today I want to share with you my latest creation: Nocturne, a teenage and badass version of Batman.
In the shadowy streets of Gotham City, a new vigilante emerges from the shadows. It is not the Dark Knight we all know, but his distorted reflection: Nocturne.
Nocturne, whose real name is lost in the echoes of darkness, is a teenager haunted by tragedy. His family was a victim of the same violence he now fights. But unlike Batman, Nocturno does not seek justice; he seeks revenge.
His costume, an amalgam of technology and the occult, wraps around him like a second skin. The blue lines that snake through his armor are not just decorative; they are mystical circuits that grant him supernatural abilities. Nocturne can fade into the shadows, move between dimensions and manipulate the nightmares of his enemies.
His gray hair, a manifestation of his torn soul, waves in the wind as he swings between skyscrapers. Bats, his faithful companions, follow him on his crusade. But they are not mere winged creatures; they are ancestral spirits that whisper forgotten secrets to him and guide him to his destiny.
Nocturno is not a hero. He is an anti-hero, a being on the verge of madness. His methods are brutal, his morality questionable. But in a city where corruption takes root like poisonous weeds, perhaps Gotham needs someone like him.

Nocturno, cuyo verdadero nombre se pierde en los ecos de la oscuridad, es un adolescente atormentado por la tragedia. Su familia fue víctima de la misma violencia que él ahora combate. Pero a diferencia de Batman, Nocturno no busca justicia; busca venganza.
Su traje, una amalgama de tecnología y ocultismo, lo envuelve como una segunda piel. Las líneas azules que serpentean por su armadura no solo son decorativas; son circuitos místicos que le otorgan habilidades sobrenaturales. Nocturno puede desvanecerse en las sombras, moverse entre dimensiones y manipular las pesadillas de sus enemigos.

This teenage Batman is presented with a malevolent twist. He wears a stylized, armored costume with angular designs and a prominent bat emblem on his chest. The costume is primarily dark, with hints of purple and bright blue lines adding to the sinister look. The character's hair is gray and spiky, suggesting a wild and rebellious nature. In the background, there are bats flying under a stormy sky, complementing the dark theme of the artwork.
Este Batman adolescente se presenta con un giro malévolo. Lleva un traje estilizado y blindado con diseños angulares y un prominente emblema de murciélago en el pecho. El traje es principalmente oscuro, con toques de color morado y líneas azules brillantes que añaden al aspecto siniestro. El cabello del personaje es gris y puntiagudo, sugiriendo una naturaleza salvaje y rebelde. En el fondo, hay murciélagos volando bajo un cielo tormentoso, lo que complementa la temática oscura de la obra de arte.
Process / Proceso
Creating Nocturno was an exciting and challenging journey that I want to share with you. The process started with sketching, where I let my imagination flow freely on the screen. I visualized Nocturno as a grim and evil teenager, so I made sure to capture that essence in the initial lines. The facial features, posture and costume were rendered in a way that reflected his tormented and vengeful nature.
With the sketch ready, I moved on to outlining. Here, I sharpened each line, giving definition and structure to the character. Every detail of the suit, from the meandering blue lines to the mystical circuits, was carefully traced. The armor had to look both technological and mystical, and this was achieved with precise, detailed outlining that highlighted the complexity of the design.
The next step was coloring. I chose a dark, cool color palette to reflect the dark atmosphere of Gotham City. Black and gray dominated the suit, while blue tones highlighted the mystical circuits. For Nocturne's hair, a washed-out gray gave it a touch of mystery and melancholy.
Applying shadows was crucial to give depth and realism to the drawing. I used intense shadows to emphasize the creases in the armor and Nocturne's taut muscles, accentuating his appearance as a dangerous vigilante. The shadows also helped to create the effect of the lights and reflections on the suit, especially in the parts where the mystical circuits glowed with an ethereal light.
Finally, I added sparkles to complete the look. The highlights on the mystic circuits made them look truly supernatural, and the reflections on the edges of the suit gave the feeling of combat-ready armor. Nocturne's spectral glowing eyes captured the character's intensity and pain, while his hair and the spirit bats around him lit up with an eerie glow.
This is how Nocturno came to life on the digital canvas, each step carefully executed to convey the story of a teenager haunted by tragedy and consumed by revenge. I hope you enjoy the end result as much as I enjoyed creating it!
Crear a Nocturno fue un viaje emocionante y desafiante que quiero compartir con ustedes. El proceso comenzó con el boceto, donde dejé que mi imaginación fluyera libremente sobre la pantalla. Visualicé a Nocturno como un adolescente sombrío y malvado, así que me aseguré de capturar esa esencia en las líneas iniciales. Los rasgos faciales, la postura y el traje fueron plasmados de manera que reflejaran su naturaleza atormentada y vengativa.
Con el boceto listo, pasé al delineado. Aquí, afilé cada línea, dándole definición y estructura al personaje. Cada detalle del traje, desde las líneas azules serpenteantes hasta los circuitos místicos, fue cuidadosamente trazado. La armadura debía lucir tanto tecnológica como mística, y esto se logró con un delineado preciso y detallado que resaltara la complejidad del diseño.
El siguiente paso fue el coloreado. Elegí una paleta de colores oscuros y fríos para reflejar el ambiente tenebroso de Gotham City. El negro y el gris dominaban el traje, mientras que los tonos azules destacaban los circuitos místicos. Para el cabello de Nocturno, un gris deslavado le daba un toque de misterio y melancolía.
Aplicar sombras fue crucial para darle profundidad y realismo al dibujo. Usé sombras intensas para enfatizar los pliegues de la armadura y los músculos tensos de Nocturno, acentuando su apariencia de vigilante peligroso. Las sombras también ayudaron a crear el efecto de las luces y los reflejos en el traje, especialmente en las partes donde los circuitos místicos brillaban con una luz etérea.
Finalmente, añadí brillos para completar el look. Los toques de luz en los circuitos místicos hicieron que parecieran verdaderamente sobrenaturales, y los reflejos en los bordes del traje dieron la sensación de una armadura lista para el combate. Los ojos de Nocturno, con un brillo espectral, capturaban la intensidad y el dolor del personaje, mientras que su cabello y los murciélagos espirituales alrededor de él se iluminaban con un resplandor inquietante.
