Rawalpindi railway station is a very busy and famous station. This station is important as it connects Karachi to Peshawar. Rawalpindi station was opened in 1881 and is still functional. The station's building is old but well maintained.
At the entrance, they have displayed an engine no 203. This engine was made in 1932 and the manufacturing company was Hino Mag Germany. The price of the engine at that time was forty-one thousand nine hundred five rupees and six anna. This engine was displayed in 2000.
I often like to visit the station's platfarm as it is very calm. On plate farm, every kind of facilities like tuck shops, bookstall, mosque, and hotels have been provided. A large number of people visit the station as this station is connected to every major city of Pakistan.
Rawalpindi Railway Station is a big station and also has many platforms for trains. A big old metal bridge connects all these platforms. This station is a good way to socialize as in the evening people gather here and enjoy tea and snacks. You just have to buy a platform ticket for entering the platform.
