Oasis was an English rock band icon of Britpop, formed in Manchester in 1990. In its beginnings, known as Rain, the group had in its ranks the singer Chris Hutton, the guitarist Paul Arthurs, the bassist Paul McGuigan and the drummer Daniel Alexander, who would later be joined, in 1991, by Liam Gallagher on vocals and Tony McCarroll on drums. The last to join them was Liam's older brother, Noel Gallagher (at his brother's request) who landed the role of lead songwriter, lead guitarist, and supporting singer.

The Gallagher brothers were the leaders and songwriters of the group. They sold more than 100 million copies worldwide3 and, until before the separation of the group, Liam Gallagher was the only original member who had remained with it until his brother dissolved Oasis. The Gallagher brothers were also recognized for their constant fights with each other and with other groups and artists, such as Blur and Robbie Williams, which led to their appearance on multiple occasions in the tabloid press. and later the departure of Alan White, the final line-up would be completed with guitarist Gem Archer, bassist Andy Bell and drummer Chris Sharrock, although finally the last member to leave the group, thus causing its dissolution, was Noel Gallagher.
