The public roads of my city

Los Proceres Avenue

Hello friends of the community, this time I will show you the main avenues of Mérida, which is one of the states of Venezuela, Mérida is characterized by presenting a topographical relief of high mountains, in fact, it is the only state in Venezuela that goes from 0 masl (meters above sea level) in Palmarito to the highest point in Venezuela which is Pico Bolívar.

Due to these characteristics, the roads have a fairly steep slope, very different from other flatter cities in Venezuela, that is noticeable precisely when it rains that the water runs and the avenues become like torrential rivers, very different from other cities that flood.

Los Proceres Avenue

Because Mérida is in an Andean valley, it does not have large tracts of land for its growth, in fact, it could be said that we reached the growth limit of the city a long time ago, that is, there are no more spaces for the city to grow.

This condition makes the main roads that run parallel to the city very important for the transportation and transportation of its inhabitants. In fact, many years ago when the economy was not stagnant, any major demonstration completely paralyzed the city.

The main avenue is Av. Los Próceres that crosses the entire city and is part of what was formerly known as the Trasandina; It could be said that the avenue that begins at Av. University and ends at the pedregosa bridge.

Las Americas Avenue

The second avenue of importance is Av. Las Américas, which is parallel to the main avenue and connects the entire city and is closer to the city center and the main shopping areas.

Main Viaduct - Campo Elias

It could be said that it goes from the sorceress to the firefighters through important commercial centers and important markets; From this avenue you can access any point of the city, this community with the main viaducts that the city has.

One of the many queues that can be seen in the city

We have been seeing the deterioration of the country for many years due to the tyranny we suffer and the avenues are a reflection of underdevelopment that has suffered, full of holes and lack of maintenance, you must travel with great care; In addition to the queues that are seen and formed in the vicinity of gasoline service stations, it is the daily bread in Venezuela.
