Ants for example, will protect aphids from predators, and protect them in their nests from heavy rain showers in order to gain a constant supply of honeydew.

Ants are fascinating insects

Apart from being the strongest insects that i've known so far, ants do have, with a surprise, two stomachs. Yes that's correct, two stomachs. One of their stomachs is for holding food for their own consumption, and the other one is for holding food to be shared with the other ants.

They have superhuman strength

Ants have the ability to carry between 10 and 50 times their own body weight. The amount an ant can carry depends on it's species. Asian weaver ants for example can lift 100 times their own mass. This is mind blowing.

Ant's nest, the tiny engineers's place.

And for the interesting part of these interesting insects's place to live. They build a deep mound, made up of the dirt, sand and other material the ants must remove, as they dig the underground tunnels and chambers, and it sure sounds amazing. It helps maintain heat within the nest, which can help the ants in the winter to survive.
