The vacation in Miami is fun for everyone. The so-called Sunshine City always offers warm ocean waters, beautiful beaches and endless sand coasts to visitors. But what about the residents who get to have more than two months of vacation for their children?
After so many weeks of vacation for summer break, and having visited all the parks, zoos, shopping malls, beaches and playgrounds children can benefit from a fun educational activity like “art”. Our studio offers every year summer art programs to enrich the mind of our younger people.
This beautiful idea started sixteen years ago when I opened a small artist studio to paint my own artworks. Then, time passed, and my friends started asking me if I could teach their children art techniques in my studio. Since I was already an art teacher at private schools, it seemed to be like a fun addition to my space. And one thing after the other ended up in weekly group of kids that would join me to learn how to express through art.
Art is no other thing than the application of human creative skills typically in a visual form. Activities such as painting, or sculpture require concentration and become a therapeutic tool for any anxious mind. Imagination is always used when producing artworks that will be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.
When my teacher assistants and I see the artistic and emotional progress made by our little ones in art class, then all our classes become a therapeutic session. I guess the passion for art and our love for teaching made the studio grow and be the sustainable business that it is today.
We welcome you to check out our art educational programs for children in Miami. Even if you are visiting for a short period of time your child could participate in our art sessions. From painting in acrylic, oil, watercolor, drawing to clay and glass mosaics, children get to express, create and learn art techniques at our summer programs.
