Hoy quería hacer un maquillaje sin embargo, el estado de la mayoría de mis pelucas es terrible, tenía muchísimo tiempo sin hacerle mantenimiento ya que en el lugar donde vivo siempre tenemos problemas con el agua y el tiempo de agua es limitado, es un problema muy común en Venezuela y es lamentable, a veces ni siquiera nos permite ocuparnos de todas las actividades de limpieza en la semana por falta de agua, hoy aproveche que el servicio esta activo y esta llegando bastante agua para poder lavar mis pelucas, estaban realmente enredadas, sin brillo y manchadas de pintura, no tenia demasiada fe en como iban a quedar porque he tenido experiencias malas con otras pelucas en el pasado al momento de estilizarlas, pero me fue bastante bien, quedo como nueva, pero se me fue todo el día haciendo eso ya que tuve que esperar que secara para luego planchar, solo pude planchar por hoy la peluca negra y estoy fascinada con el resultado.

Today I wanted to do a makeover however, the state of most of my wigs is terrible, I had a long time without maintenance because where I live we always have problems with water and water time is limited, it is a very common problem in Venezuela and it is unfortunate, sometimes not even allow us to take care of all cleaning activities in the week for lack of water, today I took advantage that the service is active and is coming enough water to wash my wigs, they were really tangled, dull and stained with paint, I did not have much faith in how they were going to be because I have had bad experiences with other wigs in the past when styling them, but it went pretty well, it was like new, but I spent all day doing that because I had to wait for it to dry and then iron it, I could only iron the black wig for today and I am fascinated with the result.
Proceso/Process
Aunque en la foto no se aprecia demasiado (fue muy difícil tomar la foto mientras sujetaba las pelucas) estaban realmente feas, la peluca negra y la blanca estaban super maltratadas, las puntas se sentían como cabello quemado y en el caso de la peluca morada es una de las pelucas que menos uso porque es de muy mala calidad, lamentablemente en el momento que la compre no tenía demasiada experiencia para saber si iba a resultar una buena compra o no, su aspecto es barato y pierde cabello fácilmente, además que se enreda sola, la quise lavar e incluir en este mantenimiento para ver si logro darle un aspecto final “decente” y que no se vea tan barata y horrible.
Although the photo does not show too much (it was very difficult to take the picture while holding the wigs) they were really ugly, the black and white wig were super battered, hair ends felt like burned hair and in the case of the purple wig is one of the wigs that I use less because it is of very poor quality, unfortunately at the time I bought it I didn't have too much experience to know if it was going to be a good buy or not, its look is cheap and it loses hair easily, besides it gets tangled by itself, I wanted to wash it and include it in this maintenance to see if I can give it a “decent” final look and that it doesn't look so cheap and awful.
Para comenzar, tome cada una de las pelucas y las cepille, comencé con la morada la cual soltó demasiado cabello y ni siquiera estaba tan enredada como las otras dos, después de peinar cada una de las pelucas llene un envase grande con agua, champú y acondicionador, sumergí una por una exprimiendo con mucho cuidado para lograr sacar todo el sucio y que se suavizara un poco más, las enjuague con agua y las deje a un lado mientras calenté agua en la estufa, deje hervir el agua y luego rellene nuevamente en envase y esta vez aplique acondicionador y suavizante de ropa, esto ayuda a que las pelucas se desenreden mas facil y se sientan con una textura más suave.
Remoje en el agua hirviendo cada peluca por aproximadamente 1 minuto ya que tenia miedo de que se quemara jajaja.
To begin, I took each one of the wigs and brushed them, I started with the purple one which let out too much hair and it wasn't even as tangled as the other two, after combing each one of the wigs I filled a big container with water, shampoo and conditioner, I submerged one by one squeezing very carefully to get all the dirt out and to soften it a little more, I rinsed them with water and set them aside while I heated water on the stove, let the water boil and then refilled the container again and this time I applied conditioner and fabric softener, this helps the wigs to untangle easier and feel softer in texture.
I soaked each wig in the boiling water for about 1 minute as I was afraid it would burn haha.
Después de remojarlas en agua hirviendo las saque y las deje secar, lamentablemente solo logre que la peluca negra se secara, las otras dos a este momento siguen húmedas, asi que empecé a trabajar con esta peluca negra, ya en este punto se sentía muy diferente a como empecé, sin embargo, solo faltaba el detalle final, tome mi plancha de cabello y la coloque en la temperatura mas baja que tiene que son 300 grados, empecé a planchar mechón por mechón y me sorprendía al ver como cada punta del cabello que parecía quemada, al pasar la plancha se ponía lisa, como nueva, me tomo bastante tiempo terminar a pesar de no ser una peluca tan abundante.
After soaking them in boiling water I took them out and let them dry, unfortunately I only got the black wig dry, the other two are still wet, so I started to work with this black wig, at this point it felt very different from how I started, however, I just needed the final detail, I took my hair iron and put it on the lowest temperature it has which is 300 degrees, I started ironing strand by strand and I was surprised to see how each tip of the hair that seemed burned, when I passed the iron it became smooth, like new, it took me quite a long time to finish even though it was not such an abundant wig.
Al terminar de alisar el cabello, volví a peinar y luego me puse la peluca y el cambio es impresionante, se sentía prácticamente como nueva, suave, brillante y muy muy lisa, realmente estoy muy emocionada de ver como quedan las otras dos, pero ya por hoy no me dio tiempo de hacer este procedimiento con las 3 pelucas, es un trabajo bastante agotador, pero con resultados excelentes.
When I finished straightening the hair, I went back to comb and then I put on the wig and the change is impressive, it felt practically like new, soft, shiny and very very smooth, I'm really excited to see how the other two are but I didn't have time to do this procedure with the 3 wigs today, it is a very tiring job, but with excellent results.
Lo único malo de todo esto es el olor fuerte del suavizante de tela, al menos para mí, que soy bastante sensible con los aromas, sin embargo, con los días ese olor se quitará y será mas facil para mi nariz.
The only bad thing about this is the strong smell of fabric softener, at least for me, I am quite sensitive to scents, however, with the days that smell will go away and it will be easier for my nose.
