It's 14:23, not really a morning for some people, but we just opened our eyes from a short nap. Last night we almost didn't sleep at all... we got up at 3:30 am (and forced ourselves to go to sleep around midnight, though we are so not used to going to bed at that time). Anyway, it was now the real morning for us, and not at home. We arrived at Krakow. :))
We had our flight from Alicante airport. As always I was the GPS lady, this time to the parking lot we reserved to leave the car for the few days we will be here, in Krakow, meeting other Hivers at @hivebeecon 🙂
The staff from the parking lot was very nice, helpful and organized. After they indicated to us where to park a driver took us to the airport terminal. They will also pick up us at the same place when we come back to Alicante.
There were already so many flights early in the morning. Helsinki, Stockholm, London, Amsterdam, Newcastle... oh, there is Krakow (Cracovia) - our one! Gate C45.
And what a coincidence. while buying a little bottle of water I heard my name... It was a student of mine calling me 😂 She saw me, as she is flying today to Norway. I would never guess we would meet at the airport, at 5 am!
Our vehicle was ready to board. My husband and I got seats on different parts of the plane as we didn't want to pay that additional fee to reserve a seat. He was lucky to be almost the assistant of the pilot and I was in the party section 😎
Everything went smoothly, we arrived on time and there were no delays at all. Oh well, one little inconvenience but it is our fault. We had a little umbrella with us as the weather here is unpredictable. We lost it on the plane 🤷♀. It fell from the pocket of the backpack and we couldn't find it anymore.
When we already bought the train tickets from the airport to the city centre we joked that we would never ever mention that umbrella. We will just buy another one that will remind us forever about the lost one hahahaha (we have some weird sense of humour sometimes)
What? Krakow can be seen just in 90 minutes?
Oh, now we are going to see if is it true. We are going to meet some people already now. @edje, get ready, @livinguktaiwan, too, so you can help us explore this place :)
It was super easy to find the train station and buy the tickets on the machine. Our destination was the Main Station (Krakow Glowny).
A Spanish family was there trying to figure out the vending machine, but it didn't work. It was also an option to buy the ticket on the train, but then it was just slightly more expensive.

This is the corner of the street where our accommodation is. We gonna meet you guys, soon. I have a headache from the sleep deprivation, but it will be fine. I will need a strong coffee and good company :))
