Hola amigos de Hive, de Sound Music y de Liketu, iniciamos el mes de Diciembre con mucha energía, entusiasmo y con una nueva entrega de mi colección musical, luego de algunas semanas de ausencia, así que entremos nuevamente al mundo de la música y empecemos!!
A inicios del 2000, el auge de artistas fue enorme; principalmente veíamos como el rock y el pop se apoderaban del mercado musical con grandes producciones que hasta el día de hoy siguen siendo catalogadas como las mejores por su calidad a todo nivel y por el legado que dejaron a las nuevas generaciones. Tal es el caso de una artista que logró posicionarse rápidamente en las carteleras con un disco que reunía una gran voz, unas suaves y a la vez agresivas guitarras, un bajo sobrio y una batería con mucho ataque, les hablo de Avril Lavigne y su álbum debut "Let Go" lanzado en el año 2002. Esta chica canadiense logró un gran trabajo con esta producción que mezclaba muy bien el pop de le época con el rock alternativo que venía surgiendo de los años 90.
Su éxito comenzó con 4 sencillos (con sus respectivos videos) que tuvieron fuerte difusión en el canal Mtv. El 1er sencillo que fue el que le dio a la cantante la fama que buscaba, se llama Complicated, un tema soft rock que destaca por su pegajosa letra y estribillo y que se ha convertido en un clásico del rock. Luego tenemos una canción más juvenil y punk llamada Sk8er Boi, cuyo video musical es demasiado genial y que seguramente recuerdes también. El 3er sencillo I'm With You, resultó ser una joya musical; esta balada pop, tenía una letra muy bonita y triste, pero con ella la artista se consolidó aún más en su estrellato. Y Finalmente tenemos Losing Grip; esta canción es la que inicia el álbum, lo que destaca es la guitarra eléctrica que envuelve de inicio a fin por su maravilloso sonido dándole a la canción un matiz de hard rock bien logrado.
Este fenómeno en ventas cuenta con 13 canciones que nos llevan a viajar por distintas emociones de una forma muy relajante y vibrante a la vez. Mis canciones preferidas son: Losing Grip, Complicated, Sk8er Boi, I'm With You, Mobile, Unwanted (una de las mejores para mi gusto), Anything But Ordinary, My World, Too Much To Ask y Naked que es la canción que cierra el disco.
Lo que me gusta de este trabajo de Avril, es escuchar en cada canción influencias musicales muy grandes del género como Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow, Janis Joplin y hasta The Cranberries. Esta chica supo iniciar su carrera con buen pie y hasta el presente se ha mantenido de forma versátil ya que se ha atrevido a entrar más en el género pop, sin embargo sus últimos discos vuelven a su esencia rockera con la misma actitud de aquella época. Como pueden apreciar el arte del disco es simple, pero agradable visualmente ya que son fotos de la artista con su banda y también en solitario con un estilo muy vintage.

Hello friends of Hive, Sound Music and Liketu, we start the month of December with lots of energy, enthusiasm and with a new entry of my music collection after a few weeks of absence, so let's get back to the world of music and let's start!
At the beginning of 2000, the boom of artists was huge; mainly we saw how rock and pop took over the music market with great productions that to this day are still ranked as the best for their quality at all levels and for the legacy they left to new generations. Such is the case of an artist who managed to quickly position herself in the charts with an album that brought together a great voice, soft yet aggressive guitars, a sober bass and drums with a lot of attack, I'm talking about Avril Lavigne and her debut album "Let Go" released in 2002. This Canadian girl did a great job with this production that mixed very well the pop of the time with the alternative rock that was emerging from the 90s.
Her success began with 4 singles (with their respective videos) that had a strong broadcast on the Mtv channel. The 1st single, which was the one that gave the singer the fame she was looking for, is called Complicated, a soft rock song that stands out for its catchy lyrics and chorus and has become a rock classic. Then we have a more youthful and punk song called Sk8er Boi, whose music video is too cool and that you surely remember as well. The 3rd single I'm With You, turned out to be a musical gem; this pop ballad, had a very nice and sad lyric, but with it the artist consolidated even more her stardom. And finally we have Losing Grip, this song is the one that starts the album; what stands out is the electric guitar that envelops from beginning to end for its wonderful sound giving the song a well achieved hard rock nuance.
This best-selling phenomenon has 13 songs that take us to travel through different emotions in a very relaxing and vibrant way at the same time. My favorite songs are: Losing Grip, Complicated, Sk8er Boi, I'm With You, Mobile, Unwanted (one of the best for my taste), Anything But Ordinary, My World, Too Much To Ask and Naked which is the song that closes the album.
What I like about Avril's work, is to hear in each song very big musical influences of the genre such as Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow, Janis Joplin and even The Cranberries. This girl knew how to start her career on the right foot and until now has remained versatile as it has dared to enter more into the pop genre, however her latest albums return to its rock essence with the same attitude of that time. As you can appreciate the artwork of the album is simple, but visually pleasing as they are photos of the artist with her band and also solo with a very vintage style.
