Desde edades muy temprana nos empujan a descubrir y desarrollar una serie de habilidades que te posicionen de una mejor manera para la vida, escuchas frases cotidianas “Es necesarios que explotes tus habilidades” o “Si quieres ser alguien en la vida es necesario que seas el mejor en lo que haces”, no digo que escucharla sea malo, pero sí que estamos condicionando a nuestros hijos y de allí que exista una sociedad tan fraccionada a nivel social, ya que todos buscamos ser mejores que los demás.
La pregunta de todo esto es ¿En realidad funcionan que seamos tan competitivos?, quizás tengamos diferentes argumentos a esta interrogante de la cual no deseo desarrollar un hilo de discusión, pero lo que si deseo profundizar es la necesidad de descubrir nuestra verdadera pasión, viéndola no como un estereotipo social, sino como un don que ha sido producto de nuestra propia esencia.
Con esta argumentación, no trato que identifiques simplemente una actividad que te guste, por el contrario, es identificar aquello que realmente nos mueve, que nos llena de energía y nos permite tener un propósito claro. En otras palabras, les estoy hablando de ese motor interno que se acelera con el simple hecho de pensar en nuestra verdadera pasión. Por consiguiente, puedo decir que es capaz de conectarnos con nuestra verdadera esencia.
Ahora bien, para muchos el hecho de encontrar esa verdadera pasión se hace complicado, cuanto más seria, el poder reconocer y trabajar en esas habilidades innatas en la que somos verdaderamente excepcionales, es un proceso que realmente causa temor y que tiende a paralizarnos, a tal punto que no logramos identificar en lo que verdaderamente somos buenos.
En este sentido, tenemos que tener en cuenta, que el hecho de trabajar implica ejecutar la habilidad tantas veces sea necesario hasta lograr la perfección, como dice el refrán “La práctica hace al maestro”. Es tan cierta esta afirmación, que basta con observar a un músico con habilidades innatas en la música, pero nunca practica su instrumento, puedo asegúrales que la pasión está ahí, pero sin ese esfuerzo extra, nunca lograra alcanzar su verdadera maestría.
De manera que el hecho de trabajar en lo somos buenos, nos hace más eficiente y exitosos, en lo personal, producto de mi crianza, he desarrollado diferentes habilidades que me han permitido aportes grandiosos en la construcción de mi hogar, aporte que van desde cambiar un bombillo, lavar un aire acondicionado, hacer un closet nuevo, cocinar, planchar, entre otras habilidades que han sido adquiridas a lo largo del proceso.
Pero más allá de lo anterior, puedo asegúrales que mi pasión se hace evidente cuando me toca comunicar, cuando enseño, pero sobre todo cuando a través de mis palabras, logro comunicar un mensaje diferente que genere un cambio en la forma de ver la vida de las personas.
Es tan grato para mí el poder dictar una conferencia, que por más que tenga problemas o dolencia en ese momento, todos los dolores desaparecen, la energía fluye y es el punto donde me encuentro con mi verdadero ser, quizás estarás pensando que soy un egocéntrico, pero yo diría que amo estar sobre un escenario comunicando a través de los micrófonos.
¿Que ha sido fácil?, por supuesto que no, ya que es en esos minutos previos a mi intervención, donde los temores se hacen más fuerte, pero con determinación e intencionalidad he logrado superar esos miedos, de modo que solo basta con salir al escenario, para que mis emociones se equilibren y para que el dominio propio se adueñe de mis ideas, de mis acciones, pero sobre todo de mis palabras, con esto lo que quiero decir, es que la comunicación y el arte de enseñar es mi pasión, es en medio de un escenario, donde soy capaz de enfrentar desafíos, ya que me mueve en una área que domino y que permite beneficiarme, pero sobre todo beneficiar a otros, aportado valor e impactando positivamente sus vidas.
Por consiguiente, amigo lector, el llamado es a no caer en la trampa del conformismo, ya que solemos estacionarnos en lo que es cómodo o en lo que otros esperan de nosotros, pero ten en cuenta, que le verdadera plenitud solo la alcanzamos cuando somos capaces de combinar nuestra pasión con esas habilidades que logramos desarrollar a lo largo del proceso que definimos como vida. From a very early age we are pushed to discover and develop a series of skills that position you in a better way for life, you hear daily phrases "You need to exploit your skills" or "If you want to be someone in life you need to be the best at what you do", I'm not saying that listening to it is bad, but we are conditioning our children and that is why there is a society so fractioned at a social level, since we all seek to be better than others.
The question of all this is, does it really work that we are so competitive? Perhaps we have different arguments to this question, which I do not wish to develop a thread of discussion, but what I do want to deepen is the need to discover our true passion, seeing it not as a social stereotype, but as a gift that has been a product of our own essence.
With this argumentation, I am not trying to simply identify an activity that you like, on the contrary, it is to identify what really moves us, that fills us with energy and allows us to have a clear purpose. In other words, I am talking about that internal engine that accelerates with the simple fact of thinking about our true passion. Therefore, I can say that it is capable of connecting us with our true essence.
Now, for many, finding that true passion is complicated, the more serious it is, the more difficult it is to recognize and work on those innate abilities in which we are truly exceptional, a process that really causes fear and tends to paralyze us, to such an extent that we are unable to identify what we are truly good at.
In this sense, we have to keep in mind that the fact of working implies performing the skill as many times as necessary until perfection is achieved, as the saying goes "Practice makes perfect". This statement is so true that it is enough to observe a musician with innate skills in music, but never practices his instrument, I can assure you that the passion is there, but without that extra effort, he will never achieve his true mastery.
So the fact of working on what we are good at, makes us more efficient and successful, personally, as a result of my upbringing, I have developed different skills that have allowed me to make great contributions in the construction of my home, contributions ranging from changing a light bulb, washing an air conditioner, making a new closet, cooking, ironing, among other skills that have been acquired throughout the process.
But beyond the above, I can assure you that my passion is evident when it is my turn to communicate, when I teach, but above all when through my words, I manage to communicate a different message that generates a change in the way people see their lives.
It is so pleasant for me to be able to give a lecture, that even if I have problems or ailments at that moment, all the pain disappears, the energy flows and it is the point where I find my true self, maybe you are thinking that I am an egocentric, but I would say that I love to be on stage communicating through the microphones.
That it has been easy? Of course not, since it is in those minutes prior to my intervention, where fears become stronger, but with determination and intentionality I have managed to overcome those fears, so that it is enough to go on stage, so that my emotions are balanced and so that self-control takes over my ideas, my actions, but especially my words, What I mean by this is that communication and the art of teaching is my passion, it is in the middle of a stage, where I am able to face challenges, since it moves me in an area that I dominate and that allows me to benefit, but above all to benefit others, providing value and positively impacting their lives.
Therefore, my friend reader, the call is not to fall into the trap of conformism, as we tend to park ourselves in what is comfortable or what others expect from us, but keep in mind that we only reach true fulfillment when we are able to combine our passion with those skills that we manage to develop throughout the process that we define as life.
