I slept past 1 am last night as I was doing this and that. But I still managed to wake up early and immediately dive into the kitchen to cook a new fish recipe. I tried to finish everything by 9 am, then prepared my breakfast which was just fried sesame bread I made yesterday plus the hottest chocolate drink (a.k.a Milo). I already ran out of my favorite Singaporean chocolate drink. 😔 I've developed the habit of eating breakfast while watching Netflix. I jumped right in and opened the last episode of Inventing Anna, "I have an hour to finish this". I've looked at the clock more than once and I was pretty sure it was still 9 AM when I started watching. I have a mass to attend at 10 AM. But time pretty got mixed up, I should have been dressed by 9:30 but I was there indulging myself in a story that made a lot of sense, at least to me and some people I know of.
By the time the last episode was done, I rushed to the bathroom took a 10-minute bath, managed to get the basic make-up, you know sunscreen and eyebrow liner, brushed my hair and off I went. I asked Pa to drive me to the church.
We were already about 250 meters away from home when I checked the time. It was a few minutes after 11 am. It sank in. I missed the last morning mass which starts at 10. I don't know what I was thinking but all this time and every time I looked at my clock, I swear I've seen it was just 9 something. Pa wasn't happy when I told him it was already 11 and the mass was done by then.
We went home and I rushed to Ma laughing about how I missed to check the time, that in my head it's still past 9 AM. What am I even thinking! 😂
It could've been worse if I didn't realize it sooner. I could've arrived in the church and find it empty and yup, too early for the next mass scheduled at 3 PM. I couldn't stop laughing while telling Ma the entire story.
Oh, it only tells one thing: Anna got the better of me. Are you also watching this series?
