Monas is a national monument which was built in 1959 to commemorate the services of the Indonesian people who have fought against Dutch colonialism in achieving independence. The monument which has an area of about 80 hectares is a historical monument that is the pride of the citizens of Jakarta.
If we visit or travel to Jakarta, it's certainly not complete if we haven't visited the Monas area. Monas or the Indonesian National Monument has indeed been an icon of the city of Jakarta for a long time, especially since its location in the city center makes this monument a tourist spot that is visited by many tourists. And of course mandatory for those of you who are in Jakarta. I visited here at night to enjoy the night breeze and also the twinkling lights that highlight Monas making it one of the brightest places at night. Moreover, this monument is very high, even from a distance we can see it, of course it becomes an attraction for people who pass by this place.
