Believe it or not, the effect of graffiti can be felt depending on the design. In some cases, when they are only strokes, they express disorder or annoyance, but in the case of these, they can have a greater weight.

All the photos were taken along the same block, where every now and then, I felt observed, perhaps it is an allegory that someone is always watching you, so any fault, no matter how small, has a potential witness.

This reminded me of when some years ago, in Venezuela, a political strategy was implemented by making not only merch, but also murals all over the capital city, with the eyes of the president.

It was impressive to feel that you were being watched, and that any complaint about what was happening could be documented, even if you were alone on the balcony of your house.

These are the eyes of the block, which fortunately, I don't often pass through. It's not that I do anything wrong, but I am uncomfortable with the feeling of being watched by strangers.

Aunque parezca mentira, el efecto que tienen los grafittis puede sentirse dependiendo del diseño. En algunos casos, cuando son trazos solamente, expresan desorden o molestia, pero en el caso de estos, pueden tener un peso mayor.

Todas las fotos las tomé a lo largo de una misma cuadra, en la que cada tanto, me sentía observada, quizás es una alegoría de que siempre alguien te está mirando, por lo que cualquier falta, por pequeña que sea, tiene un potencial testigo.

Esto me recordó cuando hace ya algunos años, en Venezuela se implementó una estrategia política al hacer no solo merch, sino también murales en toda la ciudad capital, con los ojos del presidente.

Era impresionante la sensación de sentirse que te estaban mirando, y que cualquier queja con respecto a lo que sucedía podía ser documentada, inclusive si estabas solo en el balcón de tu casa.

Estos son los ojos de la cuadra, en la que por suerte, no suelo transitar a menudo. No es que haga algo mal, pero me incomoda la sensación de sentirme observada por extraños.

Y a ustedes, qué les parece? Sentirían lo mismo que yo?
