About the Quote
Although time is wasted in both situations, indecision is worse because not only is time wasted but the waste of time led to the consequences of a wrong decision. If a wrong decision is made in a prompt manner, there is a good chance of compensating for it later. On the other hand, if the wrong decision is made after some long period of indecision, there is no way to recover in time from the consequences of the wrong decision.
We are faced with decisions constantly, some of them concerning matters of major importance. When we're familiar with the nature of the decisions to be made, it's easier to make a decision, and the chances of making a correct decision are great. Unfamiliarity is what causes indecision, which leads to a waste of time whether the ultimate decision is wrong or correct.
Given the number of decisions we make daily, we can practice our decision making on minor matters so that we can learn to make decisions quickly so that when they are correct we can proceed and if they are wrong we have time to recover or to start over. Right or wrong, we need to be decisive in our decision making.
