Index4INDEX Card 176: Pablo Picasso 1

Inspiration does exist, but it must find you working.

-- Pablo Picasso

About the Quote

Many people tend to think that inspiration can come at any moment, and that is true. They think that inspiration can come at the oddest of times, especially when one is taking a shower or taking care of business in the loo. That can happen.

What they don't realize is that the mind had to be working on solving some problem before those moments came. The mind isn't working on solving problems if there was no activity to begin with. Only when one is working will inspiration come at one of those unexpected moments.
