Aunque para muchos sea sorpresa o difícil de creer, mi papá acaba de cumplir 59 años aunque tanto físicamente como su energía es la de un hombre de 40/45 años; siempre me dará mucha risa cómo la personas se sorprenden al saber que mis padres no son tan jóvenes como aparentan, por eso digo que mi hermana seremos jóvenes eternamente.
Generalmente el cumpleaños de mi papá cae el mismo día o un día cercano al día del padre pero este año la suerte no estuvo de nuestro lado (el de las hijas) y las dos fechas quedaron bastante separadas una de la otra; el día del padre lo celebramos de forma muy sencilla, almorzando y pasando tiempo de calidad en familia.
Although it may be a surprise or hard to believe for many, my dad just turned 59 years old although physically and his energy is that of a 40/45 year old man; it will always give me a good laugh how people are surprised to know that my parents are not as young as they look, that's why I say that my sister and I will be young forever.
Usually my dad's birthday falls on the same day or a day close to father's day but this year luck was not on our (the daughters') side and the two dates were quite far apart from each other; we celebrated father's day in a very simple way, having lunch and spending quality time as a family.
Para el cumpleaños de mi papá habíamos planeado irnos a la playa aprovechando que él pidió dos días libres en su trabajo pero lamentablemente el día amaneció lloviendo, muy nublado y nos avisaron que en La Guaira estaba igual de lluvioso el clima así que él se quedó en casa descansando, viendo películas y comiendo; cuando yo salí de clases, nos fuimos a casa de mi tía a celebrar su cumpleaños en familia con una torta muy especial.
Fue una tarde-noche muy especial, llena de conversaciones, chismes, anécdotas y recuerdos; se comió bastante y se disfrutó el doble, a veces me cuesta creer cómo han pasado los años y, aunque suene feo, lo viejos que están todos en mi familia, incluyéndome, a veces se me olvida que así como el tiempo pasa por mí, pasa por mis familiares y amigos.
For my dad's birthday we had planned to go to the beach taking advantage of the fact that he asked for two days off from work but unfortunately the day dawned raining, very cloudy and we were told that in La Guaira the weather was just as rainy so he stayed home resting, watching movies and eating; when I got out of class, we went to my aunt's house to celebrate his birthday with the family with a very special cake.
It was a very special evening, full of conversations, gossip, anecdotes and memories; we ate a lot and enjoyed it twice as much, sometimes I find it hard to believe how the years have passed and, although it sounds ugly, how old everyone in my family is, including me, sometimes I forget that just as time passes by me, it passes by my family and friends.
La vida es un suspiro, hoy tiene 20 y cuando vuelves a pestañar ya tienes 40, por eso hay que valorar cada instante de ella; espero les hayan gustado las fotos de este @liketu sobre el cumpleaños de mi papá, son recuerdos que atesoraré para toda la vida.
