Como ya he comentado en muchas ocasiones acá, Anna es el pilar más importante que tengo en mi vida y, para ser sincera, el único miembro de mi familia del cual estoy agradecida tener; más allá de ser mi hermana de sangre es mi mejor amiga, mi apoyo incondicional y mi brújula cuando siento que estoy perdiendo la dirección en mi vida.
Al ser una persona tan importante en mi vida, quería hacerle un regalo especial para su cumpleaños, algo que ella desde hace mucho tiempo había querido y aunque puede parecer una tontería, sé el significado y/o valor que tiene para ella.
As I have commented many times here, Anna is the most important pillar I have in my life and, to be honest, the only member of my family I am grateful to have; beyond being my blood sister she is my best friend, my unconditional support and my compass when I feel I am losing direction in my life.
Being such an important person in my life, I wanted to give her a special gift for her birthday, something she had long wanted and although it may seem silly, I know the meaning and/or value it has for her.
Realmente no quise solo hacerle una sorpresa sino también darle un regalo que pueda conservar con ella por mucho tiempo, nosotras crecimos viendo televisión y uno de los programas que más veíamos era Bob Esponja así que se podría decir que es una de nuestras comiquitas favoritas; a ella también le gustan mucho las medias temáticas, con dibujitos y figuras por eso decidí regalarle dos pares de medias con temática de Bob Esponja.
Para entregarle el regalo puse en marcha mi creatividad como mi amor por las manualidades debido a que no tenía una bolsa de regalo dónde pudiese entregarle las medias y no quería dárselas así sin más así que busqué tutoriales de cómo hacer una bolsa de regalo de cartulina y la hice, quería que fuese verde pero lamentablemente no tenía más cartulina de colores sino roja. Para personalizarla le hice una pequeña cartica con un girasol porque es nuestra flor favorita.
I really didn't want to just surprise her but also give her a gift that she can keep with her for a long time, we grew up watching TV and one of the shows we watched the most was SpongeBob SquarePants so you could say it's one of our favorite cartoons; she also loves themed socks, with drawings and figures so I decided to give her two pairs of SpongeBob themed socks.
To give her the gift I put into action my creativity and my love for crafts because I didn't have a gift bag where I could give her the socks and I didn't want to give them just like that so I looked for tutorials on how to make a cardboard gift bag and I made it, I wanted it to be green but unfortunately I didn't have any more colored cardboard but red. To personalize it I made a little card with a sunflower because it is our favorite flower.
Para su sorpresa mandé a hacer una torta personalizada y con un detalle increíble, en el centro de esta había una imagen pero al prenderle fuego se quema revelando una segunda imagen debajo; este truco me pareció increíble y quise hacerle su sorpresa de esta forma, sorpresa doble. Me puse en contacto con la chica que me hizo mis dos tortas de cumpleaños debido a que ya conozco la excelencia de su trabajo y lo divina que son sus tortas; acordé todo con ella y aceptó el reto.
El día del cumpleaños de mi hermana estaba súper nerviosa, tenía miedo que no funcionara o no saliera como esperaba; aparte que mi hermana no sabía de la torta así que fue un poco complicado llegar con una torta para 10 personas a escondidas. Por suerte todo salió increíble, la sorpresa quedó exactamente como quería y causó en mi hermana las emociones que esperaba generar; la mejor parte fue el sabor, el ponqué era de vainilla con relleno de "Cookies & Cream"; por si tienen la duda, la primera imagen decía "Feliz Cumpleaños Anna" con la tipografía y el logo de su disco favorito de Twenty One Pilots (porque es nuestra banda favorita) y debajo estaba un collage que hice con muchas fotos de Tyler Joseph, crush de mi hermana.
To her surprise I had a personalized cake made with an incredible detail, in the center of it there was an image but when I set fire to it it burned revealing a second image underneath; I thought this trick was incredible and I wanted to surprise her in this way, double surprise. I contacted the girl who made my two birthday cakes because I already know the excellence of her work and how divine her cakes are; I agreed everything with her and she accepted the challenge.
The day of my sister's birthday I was super nervous, I was afraid it wouldn't work or it wouldn't turn out as I expected; besides my sister didn't know about the cake so it was a little complicated to arrive with a cake for 10 people on the sly. Luckily everything turned out amazing, the surprise was exactly as I wanted and caused my sister the emotions I was hoping to generate; the best part was the flavor, the cake was vanilla with “Cookies & Cream” filling; in case you had any doubt, the first image said “Happy Birthday Anna” with the typography and the logo of her favorite Twenty One Pilots album (because it is our favorite band) and underneath was a collage I made with many pictures of Tyler Joseph, my sister's crush.
Todo salió increíble para recibir su cumpleaños, aunque se nos haya dañado un poco la celebración debido al apagón nacional que hubo justo el 30 de Agosto, mi hermana pudo disfrutar su cumpleaños e incluso su viaje a la playa con sus amigos.

Everything went amazing to receive her birthday, even though we had a little bit of damage to the celebration due to the national blackout on August 30, my sister was able to enjoy her birthday and even her trip to the beach with her friends.
