In between the days of Dutch rain there was a moment where the sky opened up and it felt like spring was coming towards us all again. I had been low on juice since the last week because of Hivefest but also because I just have too much to do in too little time and my mind is pushing me to finish it all, or at least take care of it all which is of course impossible.

So after some days of chilling me and my screwdriver fixed the porch and the lights in there and as always it does feel satisfying to fix stuff yourself. Finding out what needs to be done, cursing a couple of times, but making it happen. But in the Netherlands there is always a sort of weather deadline in there when you are able to do these outdoor chores because at the next point you will zapp yourself while trying to fix the electrics. So even if today is not the day you want to be doing those things, maybe the next opportunity will be next week at its earliest.

I went for a walk of satisfaction to celebrate my conquest of the battle of the electrics and it was beautiful. At this moment all of the moorlands, heathers whatever you want to call it are flourishing and that means purple everywhere as the color of the backdrop. This is like the pre scenery before all of the mushrooms start to pop up in a couple of weeks when it a little bit more dark again.

The dog seemed to be reasonable again after his surgery from a couple days back and he was running up and down and chasing imaginary rabbits as always. I was still a bit worried that he would hurt himself somewhere while chasing stuff and jumping over it, but I guess it doesn’t seem to hold him back at all. Life was back to normal and purple was the color of the scene in there.

The winter coat was for sure too much as I thought it would be a lot colder, and I think I even feel on my skin in the face that the sun was still strong. It was good having some color in there and if this is a sign from nature that autumn will nice and colorish…Maybe I will even look forward to it
