Si bien abril no fue un mes repleto de grandes aventuras o eventos memorables en comparación a los meses anteriores aún así estuvo lejos de ser un mes ordinario. A pesar de su aparente tranquilidad me sorprendió la cantidad de experiencias significativas que viví durante esas cuatro semanas, a continuación, comparto algunos de los momentos más destacados del mes:
Although April was not a month full of great adventures or memorable events compared to previous months, it was still far from an ordinary month. Despite its apparent tranquility, I was surprised by the number of meaningful experiences I had during those four weeks. Below, I share some of the highlights of the month:
Un regreso al campo: / A return to the field:
Tras muchos meses de postergación, finalmente pude visitar a mis familiares en una zona rural del estado, disfruté al máximo de la naturaleza, el aire fresco, charlar con mis seres queridos y la observación de los animales domésticos, esa repentina escapada al campo me llenó de tranquilidad.
After many months of postponement, I was finally able to visit my relatives in a rural area of the state. I fully enjoyed nature, the fresh air, chatting with my loved ones and observing domestic animals. That sudden getaway to the countryside filled me. of tranquility.
Un domingo de carne asada: / A roast beef Sunday:
Comencé el mes con una agradable sorpresa, una invitación de mi madre para comer carne asada en su casa, coincidía a la perfección con mis antojos de ese día por lo que no dudé en aceptar la invitación, pasamos una tarde maravillosa compartiendo anécdotas, preparando comida y en general teniendo un gran momento en familia.
I started the month with a pleasant surprise, an invitation from my mother to eat roast meat at her house, it coincided perfectly with my cravings that day so I did not hesitate to accept the invitation, we spent a wonderful afternoon sharing anecdotes, preparing food and generally having a great family time.
Un susto mecánico con final feliz: / A mechanical scare with a happy ending:
Un día, mi auto comenzó a emitir un ruido extraño que me alarmó de inmediato, inmediatamente lo llevé al mecánico para un chequeo rutinario y para mi sorpresa el ruido era solo una falla menor y fácil de solucionar, sin embargo, el mecánico detectó dos problemas realmente graves que, de no haberse encontrado a tiempo, podrían haberme dejado con un auto inservible, afortunadamente, esa pequeña falla me permitió evitar un problema mayor y no pude evitar sentirme afortunado por ello.
One day, my car started making a strange noise that immediately alarmed me, I immediately took it to the mechanic for a routine checkup and to my surprise the noise was just a minor fault and easy to fix, however, the mechanic detected two problems really serious that, if they had not been found in time, could have left me with a useless car, fortunately, that small failure allowed me to avoid a bigger problem and I couldn't help but feel lucky for it.
Un cambio de look: / A change of look:
Aunque no suelo cortarme el cabello con frecuencia, decidí hacerlo este mes junto con un afeitado de barba por el motivo de mi cumpleaños, este cambio de look me otorgó un aire fresco y generó muchos temas de conversación entre mis familiares y amigos durante días ya que debo admitir que me veía muy diferente, sin duda, fue una manera de refrescar mi imagen y comenzar la nueva década con un nuevo estilo.
Although I don't usually cut my hair frequently, I decided to do it this month along with a beard shave for my birthday. This change of look gave me a fresh look and generated many topics of conversation among my family and friends for days since I must admit that I looked very different, without a doubt, it was a way to refresh my image and start the new decade with a new style.
Un cumpleaños memorable: / A memorable birthday:
Mi cumpleaños número 30 llegó cargado de emociones, debo admitir que durante todo ese día reflexioné sobre las experiencias vividas en mis 20 y no pude evitar sentir nostalgia. Mi novia me sorprendió con regalos, un delicioso almuerzo en un restaurante, una franela de una de mis bandas favoritas, una taza para café, dulces y una deliciosa torta de chocolate casera. Ese día en la tarde recibí la visita de mi familia y compartimos un gran momento. Terminé ese día escuchando música y disfrutando de unas cervezas, sintiendo que no podía haber pedido más.
My 30th birthday came full of emotions, I must admit that throughout that day I reflected on the experiences I had in my 20s and I couldn't help but feel nostalgic. My girlfriend surprised me with gifts, a delicious lunch at a restaurant, a T-shirt from one of my favorite bands, a coffee mug, candy, and a delicious homemade chocolate cake. That day in the afternoon I received a visit from my family and we shared a great moment. I ended that day listening to music and enjoying some beers, feeling like I couldn't have asked for more.
Migración a Linux: / Migration to Linux:
Motivado por la necesidad de aprender Python y bases de datos, decidí migrar a Linux, específicamente a Ubuntu. Lo que comenzó como una simple migración de aprendizaje se convirtió en toda una fascinación por ese sistema operativo. He personalizado Ubuntu a mi gusto, he vinculado mis datos y me he acostumbrado a manejarme por la consola, sin duda, esta migración ha sido una experiencia enriquecedora y no creo que vuelva a cambiar de sistema operativo en un buen tiempo.
Motivated by the need to learn Python and databases, I decided to migrate to Linux, specifically Ubuntu. What started as a simple learning migration turned into a fascination with that operating system. I have customized Ubuntu to my liking, I have linked my data and I have gotten used to using the console. Without a doubt, this migration has been an enriching experience and I don't think I will change operating systems again for a long time.
Abril fue un gran mes, con momentos tranquilos y otros más emocionantes, pesar de no ser un mes repleto de grandes aventuras, me ha dejado recuerdos valiosos y conocimientos importantes.
April was a great month, with quiet moments and other more exciting ones. Despite not being a month full of great adventures, it has left me valuable memories and important knowledge.
