A Well-Timed Contrail

I was a guest at a gathering of aerospace workers last night. As they gathered for a group photo at twilight, I noticed the distinctive contrail of a rocket launch in the western sky. The pictures you see are our view right after first stage separation, and the remaining contrail, distorted by atmospheric winds.
