Going home with an apple in his hand

I am a city girl. I was born and raised in Cebu City, Philippines. So I'm quite excited and fascinated whenever I see wildlife here in the townsite where I have relocated in Riau, Indonesia.

Recently, we have seen a family of monkeys in two different areas. The first one was early in the morning while I was taking a walk with my friend. The second one was during lunch. We could see them in the pocket forests in the area. But aside from that, I have also seen two of these monkeys at the back of my room as shown in the last two photos. It is possible that it could be the same monkey living in the bushes near me, but who's to know?

In the last photo, the monkey is holding an apple although it's not clear in the blurry image. I threw that little guy an apple for a snack. He climbed down from the palm tree to pick it up. Then he took a couple of bites before deciding to go back to his hiding place.

I took all photos from a good distance for safety. I'm not afraid of monkeys by the way, but I do understand that it's better to keep our distance so as not to scare and trigger them to attack us.

Hopefully, I'll see a group of wild pigs next, but they're more elusive. I've only seen them a couple of times around here.
