Good evening dear friends of Hive, this morning I worked on a new video to create both a scenic introduction and a footer for all my future Youtube and 3Speak videos.
Buona sera cari amici di Hive, questa mattina ho lavorato su un nuovo video per creare sia un'introduzione scenografica che un footer, per tutti i miei futuri video di Youtube e 3speack.
As you well know my dear friends and readers, I have always been drawn to nature and its ability to inspire through its beauty and natural art. Since I was a child, I have developed a strong passion for photography, which has allowed me to capture the beauty of the natural world through my camera lenses, even with professional lenses in recent years. But I have always loved spending time outdoors, exploring as many places as possible, capturing the images that make them special.
My passion for photography has also extended to video editing in recent years. I no longer just capture static images but also the movement that surrounds us, which brings everything to life. Video editing offers me the opportunity to weave together different photos, videos, and sounds to create an engaging story that conveys the emotions I feel in those moments. I am always looking for new adventures to explore and document nature, and with video editing, I have the opportunity to digitally process these experiences and share them with others. Photography and video editing are not just a hobby or a simple pastime for me, but rather a form of art that allows me to express myself through my creativity and my passion for the nature that surrounds us.
Come ben sapete miei cari amici e lettori, sono sempre stato attratto dalla della natura e dalla sua capacità di ispirare attraversa la sua bellezza e la sua arte naturale. Fin da piccolo, ho sviluppato una forte passione per la fotografia, che mi ha permesso di catturare la bellezza del mondo naturale attraverso i miei obiettivi fotografici, anche se con ottiche professionali sono negli ultimi anni. Ma ho sempre adorato trascorrere del tempo all'aperto, esplorando in lungo e in largo più luoghi possibile, catturando le immagini che li rendono speciali.
La mia passione per la fotografia si è estesa negli ultimi anni anche al video editing. Non mi soffermo più a catturare solo immagini statiche ma anche il movimento che ci circonda, che da vita a tutto. Il video editing mi offre la possibilità di intrecciare diverse foto, video e suoni per creare una storia coinvolgente, che sappia trasmettere le emozioni che provo quando in quei momenti. Sono sempre alla ricerca di nuove avventure per esplorare e documentare la natura e con il video editing ho la possibilità di elaborare digitalmente queste esperienze e condividerle con gli altri. La fotografia e il video editing non sono per me solo un hobby o un semplice passatempo, ma pittosto una forma d'arte che mi permette di esprimere me stesso, attraverso la mia creatività e la mia passione per la natura che ci circonda.
To create this video, I used a simple free software called CapCut, which you can download for both Android and IOS systems. It is a very comprehensive video editing app, which even though it offers a paid pro version, the free basic version is so wide with effects and tools that there is no need to spend money on an upgrade.
I will not illustrate all the steps of the production, such as the insertion of special effects or captions, which are simple and decorative elements that do not need explanations, but I will focus on the actual editing and the removal of the background so that I can give some useful advice. Starting with isolating my figure to create the effect on the black background and keeping all my movement alive.
Per realizzare questo video mi sono servito di un semplice software libero di nome CapCat, che potete scaricare per tutti i sistemi Android e IOS. Si tratta di una specifica app per video editing molto completa, che anche se offre una versione pro a pagamento, la versione base gratuita è talmente ampia di effetti e di strumenti che non ci sarà bisogno di spendere soldi per un upgrade.
Non illustrerò tutti i passaggi della produzione, come l'inserimento degli effetti speciali o scritte, che è un elemento semplice e decorativo che non ha bisogno di spiegazioni, ma mi soffermo piuttosto sull'editing vero e proprio e sulla rimozione dello sfondo, in modo da potere dare qualche consiglio utile. Partendo appunto dall'isolamento della mia figura per creare l'effetto sullo sfondo nero e mantenere vivo tutto il mio movimento.
First, I shot a video of myself with the desired movement that I wanted to insert, choosing a uniform background and moving very slowly to facilitate focusing and sharp contours. All this to simplify the software's work in isolating the background and having fewer manual touch-ups to do because, of course, it will not be perfect, and some contours will be lost in the movement, and at that point, we would have to go and select the frames manually to adjust with the brush in the crop section.
Per prima cosa ho girato un video su me stesso con il movimento desiderato che volevo inserire, scegliendo uno sfondo uniforme e muovendomi molto lentamente per facilitare la messa a fuoco e i contorni nitidi. Tutto questo per semplificare il lavoro del software nell'isolare lo sfondo e aver meno ritocchi da fare manualmente, perchè ovviamente non sarà perfetto e qualche contorno lo perde nel movimento e a quel punto dovremmo andare a selezionare manualmente i fotogrammi da sistemare con il pennello nella sezione ritaglia.
Open the desired video with CapCut, select the video string, and the video options will appear. Select crop and then remove the background. The software will remove the background with artificial intelligence, obtaining a good result almost always if you have taken care to have a single color background and clothing that contrasts with that color, but there will always be some smudging.
Aprite il video desiderato con CapCut, selezionate la stringa del video e vi appariranno le opzioni video, selezionate ritaglio e poi rimuovi sfondo. Il software rimuoverà lo sfondo con l'intelligenza artificiale, ottenendo un buon risultato quasi sempre se avete avuto cura di aver uno sfondo di colore unico e un vestiario che contrasti con quel colore, ma ci sarà sempre qualche sbavatura.
To correct the smudging, you have to re-select custom cropping, the brush setting will open and highlight in red the selected image to be isolated. By scrolling through the video and using the brush, we must be patient and go to correct all the parts of the image that have not been automatically selected by the AI. A tedious job, it's true, but it's the only way to get a realistic and professional result.
Per correggere le sbavature, bisogna riselezionare ritaglio personalizzato, si aprirà l'impostazione pennello ed evidenzierà in rosso l'immagine selezionata da isolare. Scorrendo il video e utilizzando il pennello dobbiamo avere pazienza e andare a correggere tutte le parti di immagine che non sono state selezionate automaticamente dall'AI. Un lavoro noioso, è vero, ma è l'unico modo per ottenere un risultato realistico e professionale.
Once we have obtained our portion of the moving video, we can move it anywhere, enlarge or shrink it as we want, and eventually give further movement on the screen thanks to the use of keyframes, giving the order to move from point A to point B as we want, also adjusting the speed curve of the transition.
Una volta ottenuta la nostra porzione di video in movimento, possiamo spostarla ovunque, ingrandirla o rimpicciolirla come vogliamo ed eventualmente dare ulteriore movimento sullo schermo grazie all'utilizzo dei fotogrammi chiave, dando l'ordine di spostarsi da un punto A ad un punto B come vogliamo regolando anche la curva della velocità di transizione.
In the example, although it would have been clearer with a video, imagine a smooth and continuous movement. A will be located at the point we set with the keyframe tick and then transformed during the journey to point B, bringing it to the position we desire.
Nell'esempio, anche se con un video sarebbe stato più chiaro, ma immaginatevi un movimento fluido e continuo, A si troverà nel punto prestabilito da noi con la spunta sul fotogramma chiave per poi trasformarlo durante il tragitto per il punto B, portandolo nella posizione che meglio desideriamo.
Once the basics of the program are understood, the only limit is our imagination. With these two quick functions explained, really engaging videos can be created; all you need is some practice and to unleash your creativity. I always used After Effects before, but it's too heavy and complex to use. Certainly, it's the maximum level of expression, but sometimes this complexity can bring limitations. For this reason, I find a program like CapCut better for my usage, as it is light, practical, and well-equipped with tools.

Una volta capito le basi del programma, il limite rimane solo la nostra fantasia, con queste due veloci funzioni spiegate si possono creare video davvero coinvolgenti, vi basta solo un po' di pratica e dare sfogo alla vostra fantasia. Io ho sempre usato After Effect prima, ma è troppo pesante e complesso da utilizzare, certamente è il massimo livello di espressione, ma a volte questa complessità ti porta delle limitazioni, per questo trovo migliore per il mio utilizzo un programma come CapCut, leggero, pratico e molto fornito di strumenti.
