Per vostra conoscenza, la casa di Cupertino ha appena sfornato un altro super gioiellino.
Si chiama Slow Horses e, tra le altre cose, si presenta a noi con un membro del cast che vorreste davvero vedere recitare in una serie del genere, in un ruolo del genere. Sto parlando del premio Oscar per The Darkest Hour, sto parlando di Mr. Gary Oldman che qui, pur in una parte abbastanza marginale nel pilot, sfodera tutta la sua bravura.
Slow Horses non vi deluderà.
Slow Horses inizia a mille giri.
Il ritmo dei primi minuti è forsennato.
Si corre, si spintona, si lotta contro il tempo.
Siamo in un aereoporto e tutto sembra apparecchiato per un grande attentato terroristico.
Fra il detonare di una bomba e la salvezza vi è l'agente Cartwright, agente dell'MI5 , in missione per conto dell'intelligence britannica per sventare un non precisato attacco, perpretrato da una non precisata persona.
L'agente Cartwright verrà declassato e finirà alla Slow House, capitanata da Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman), uomo particolarmente eccentrico, spocchioso e aggressivo che non cesserà di infilare il coltello nella piaga del povero Cartwright.
Il pilot stuzzica e ci mostra quello che Slow Horses sa fare, e non è poco.
Sembra essere, per l'appunto, un appetizer, un piccolo accenno al grande buffet che sta per arrivare.
Il voto a Slow Horses non può che essere duplice.
Da un lato il voto, alto, a quello che abbiamo visto.
Dall'altro un voto, alto, a quello che ipotizziamo la serie possa fare.
Motivo sufficiente per spingervi a guardarlo e, soprattutto, ad avere fede in lui.
Voglia di continuare a vederlo: 9,5

Just so you know, the Cupertino company has just released another super jewel.
It's called Slow Horses and, among other things, it comes to us with a cast member you'd really like to see acting in a series like this, in a role like this. I'm talking about the Oscar winner for The Darkest Hour, I'm talking about Mr. Gary Oldman who here, although in a fairly marginal part in the pilot, shows off all his skills.
Slow Horses will not disappoint you.
Slow Horses starts at full speed.
The pace of the first few minutes is frenzied.
You run, you push, you fight against time.
We are in an airport and everything seems set up for a big terrorist attack.
Between the detonation of a bomb and salvation is Agent Cartwright, an MI5 agent, on a mission on behalf of British intelligence to thwart an unspecified attack perpetrated by an unspecified person.
Agent Cartwright will be demoted and end up at Slow House, headed by Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman), a particularly eccentric, snooty and aggressive man who will not stop sticking the knife into poor Cartwright's wound.
The pilot teases and shows us what Slow Horses can do, and that's no small thing.
It seems to be, in fact, an appetizer, a small hint of the big buffet that is coming.
The vote for Slow Horses cannot but be twofold.
On one hand, a high rating for what we have seen.
On the other, a high rating for what we assume the series can do.
Reason enough to push you to watch it and, above all, to have faith in it.
