Blockchain-based games are one of my passions and the main reason is that they have a triple source of fun for me:

• they are games and therefore it is fun to play and adopt game strategies
• they are also investments because it is possible to buy game assets (NFTs and tokens) and I enjoy doing calculations and evaluating possible investment strategies.
• I like to share my gaming and investment strategies by posting content on my Hive blog.

Today I am pleased to share the achievement of a financial goal I had set for myself on a game built and developed on the Hive blockchain: Terracore

Terracore is an indie game developed by @crypt0gnome and is also an idle game set in an apocalyptic world.

Break Even Point Reached in 25 Days of Play

Those who regularly read my posts know that in farming, mining and idle games I follow an investment strategy that is almost a standard strategy for me:

• In a first phase I invest and improve my game stats.
• In a second phase I plan and try to reach the break-even point considering only game rewards.
• In the third phase the real fun begins for me because it means that I have transformed a play to earn into a free to play and I can continue to play and invest without worries.

I have turned several blokchain-based play-to-earn games into free-to-play games but the time in which I have reached the break-even point has obviously varied.
For example, it took me almost a year to turn Ape Mining Club and Dcity into free-to-play games.

Terracore, on the other hand, burned all my previous records because I reached the break-even point in 26 days!

I started playing on Terracore on 23 March 2023 when I invested 20 HIVE to purchase my citizenship.

Yesterday April 18, 2023 I reached a total amount of 143 SCRAPs sold and reached the break-even point as you can see from the data in the table below.

In 26 days I have reached the break-even point and to date, after 27 days of play, I have made the Claim of a total of 243.45 SCRAP whose current market value is 33.27 HIVE = $14.47

I sold 58.95% of the SCRAPs I have obtained to date and used 30.81% to increase my game stats.

My Next Investment Strategy

Now that I have reached the break-even point I can focus almost exclusively on improving my game statistics until I balance the percentage of SCRAP sold and SCRAP used in the game then I will re-evaluate my strategy.

With 75 CRAP I have improved the following game statistics:
FAVOR: 0 -> 1
ENGINEERING: 1 -> 4
DAMAGE: 10 -> 50
DEFENSE: 10 -> 50
STASH SIZE: 1 -> 7

In the next days I will try to progressively increase all my game statistics and in a balanced way starting with the DEFENSE statistic whose upgrade will serve as a deterrent to those who want to attack me to steal SCRAP tokens from my STASH.

With the statistic ENGINEERING = 4 I have a MINE RATE = 0.0001331 SCRAP per second which equals:

• a potential hourly gain of 0.47916 SCRAP = 0.06550 SWAP = $0.02849
• a potential daily gain of 11.49984 SCRAP = 1.57191 SWAP = $0.68378

Those who start playing today will start at a MINE RATE = 0.0001 SCRAP per second and in the table below you can see the potential hourly and daily earnings.

Note that the results I calculated in the previous two tables are estimated values because they do not consider the effect:

• of attacks suffered that reduce the estimated gains
• of the attacks made that positively affect the estimated gains
• changes in the market value of SCRAP tokens.

I conclude this post with a small focus on the SCRAP token whose value over the past 30 days has maintained a good stability by staying in a fairly narrow range of values.

In the table below you can see the difference in value of SCRAP tokens (in HIVE and dollars) over the time interval: April 9, 2023 - April 19, 2023.

The past 10 days have been positive for both the value of HIVE and the value of SCRAP tokens because both are registering increases in value against the dollar:

• HIVE: +3.82%
• SCRAP: +13.44% (Highest Bid Value)
• SCRAP: +7.54% (Lowest Ask Value)

Terracore: Punto di Pareggio raggiunto dopo 26 giorni di gioco!

I giochi basati su blockchain sono una delle mie passioni e il motivo principale è che hanno una triplice fonte di divertimento per me:

• sono giochi e quindi è divertente giocare e adottare strategie di gioco
• sono anche investimenti perchè è possibile acquistare gli assets del gioco (NFTs e tokens) ed io mi diverto a fare calcoli e a valutare possibili strategie di investimento.
• mi piace condividere le mie strategie di gioco e di investimento pubblicando contenuti sul mio Hive blog.

Break Even Point Reached in 25 Days of Play

Chi legge regolarmente i miei posts sa bene che nei giochi di farming, mining e negli idle games seguo una strategia di investimento che è ormai quasi uno standard per me:

• In una prima fase investo e miglioro le mie statistiche di gioco
• In una seconda fase pianifico e cerco di raggiungere il punto di pareggio considerando solo le ricompense di gioco.
• Nella terza fase inizia il vero divertimento per me perchè vuol dire che ho trasformato un play to earn in un free to play e posso continuare a giocare e ad investire senza pensieri.

Ho trasformato diversi giochi play to earn basati su blokchain in giochi free to play ma il tempo in cui ho raggiunto il punto di pareggio è stato ovviamente variabile.
Ad esempio ho impiegato quasi un anno per trasformare Ape Mining Club e Dcity in giochi free to play.

Terracore ha invece bruciato tutti i miei record precedenti perchè ho raggiunto il punto di pareggio in 26 giorni!

Ho iniziato a giocare su Terracore il 23 marzo 2023 quando ho investito 20 HIVE per acquistare la mia citizenship.

Ieri 18 aprile 2023 ho raggiunto un quantitativo totale di 143 SCRAP venduti e ho raggiunto il punto di pareggio come puoi vedere dai dati presenti nella tabella seguente.

In 26 giorni ho raggiunto il punto di pareggio e fino ad oggi, dopo 27 giorni di gioco, ho fatto il Claim di un totale di 243.45 SCRAP il cui valore di mercato attuale è di 33.27 HIVE = 14.47$

Ho venduto il 58.95% degli SCRAP che ho ottenuto fino ad oggi e ho usato il 30.81% per aumentare le mie statistiche di gioco.

My Next Investment Strategy

Ora che ho raggiunto il punto di pareggio posso focalizzarmi quasi esclusivamente sul miglioramento delle mie statistiche di gioco fino a quando non avrò equilibrato la percentuale di SCRAP venduti e SCRAP utilizzati nel gioco poi valuterò nuovamente la mia strategia.

Con 75 CRAP ho migliorato le seguenti statistiche di gioco:
FAVOR: 0 -> 1
ENGINEERING: 1 -> 4
DAMAGE: 10 -> 50
DEFENSE: 10 -> 50
STASH SIZE: 1 -> 7

Nei prossimi giorni cercherò di aumentare progressivamente tutte le mie statistiche di gioco e in modo equilibrato partendo dalla statistica DEFENSE il cui upgrade servirà da deterrente per chi vorrà attaccarmi per rubare i token SCRAP dal mio STASH.

Con la statistica ENGINEERING = 4 ho un MINE RATE = 0.0001331 SCRAP al secondo che equivale a:

• un potenziale guadagno orario di 0.47916 SCRAP = 0.06550 SWAP = 0.02849$
• un potenziale guadagno giornaliero di 11.49984 SCRAP = 1.57191 SWAP = 0.68378$

Chi inizia a giocare oggi partirà da un MINE RATE = 0.0001 SCRAP al secondo e nella tabella seguente puoi vedere i potenziali guadagni orari e giornalieri.

Nota che i risultati che ho calcolato nelle due tabelle precedenti sono valori stimati perchè non considerano l'effetto:

• degli attacchi subiti che riducono i guadagni stimati
• degli attacchi effettuati che influiscono positivamente sui guadagni stimati

Concludo questo post con un piccolo focus sul token SCRAP il cui valore negli ultimi 30 giorni ha mantanuto una buona stabilità mantenendosi in un range di valori abbastanza ristretto.

Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere la differenza di valore dei token SCRAP (in HIVE e in dollari) nell'intervallo di tempo: 9 aprile 2023 - 19 aprile 2023.

Gli ultimi 10 giorni sono stati positivi sia per il valore di HIVE che per il valore dei token SCRAP perchè entrambi registrano incrementi di valore rispetto al dollaro:

• HIVE: +3.82%
• SCRAP: +13.44% (Highest Bid Value)
• SCRAP: +7.54% (Lowest Ask Value)
