My Hive Goals and My Road From Dolphin to Orca + My HIVE Power UP! - May 1, 2023
Today is May 1, 2023, and it is the day that in my country, Italy, and in many countries around the world is Workers' Day.
I do not have a steady job and do not have a fixed monthly salary, and for this reason in my life I have always had to think and have a plan B in case things went wrong.
Until now I have always been lucky enough to be able to work multiple jobs together which has allowed me to be able to satisfy the needs of my family and especially the needs of my daughter who is 9 years old and growing up as her needs and necessities are growing.
I also feel very fortunate because until today I have been able to stay living where I was born, close to my family and my nearest and dearest.
In today's world having a job is not easy, having a rewarding job is almost impossible, and being able to stay in your own land and city is really a challenge especially if you live in southern Italy like me.
For example, if I think about my high school classmates that I attended more than 20 years ago, they have almost all left my town for work reasons and on this day I want to express my admiration and solidarity for all the people who live and work far away from the place where they were born because it is never easy to choose to move away from your family and your loved ones.
Today, May 1, I had a nice relaxing day with my family and in the afternoon I accompanied my daughter Chiara and her friend Isabella to the cinema to see the Super Mario animated movie.
My first console was the Nintendo 8-bit and watching the movie took me back in time.
Today May 1 is also an important day on the Hive blockchain because it is the 5th Power Up Day of the year 2023.
So far I have participated in all the Power Up Days of the year 2023 and my goal is to make 12 out of 12 participations.
The first day of each month is also the perfect time for me to monitor my activity on the Hive blockchain and to share progress toward the growth goals I have set for myself.
Hive is my favorite blockchain project and I would love to increase my weight within the Hive blockchain.
I have been on Hive for a little over 4 years and have always set growth goals that once achieved have become the starting point toward a new goal.
The current goal I would like to achieve on Hive is to acquire the status of Orca.
On the Hive blockchain, the weight of each user is determined by the amount of tokens HIVE staked = Hive Power (HP).
On Hive, within certain ranges of Hive Power values a status is acquired.
In April I passed the threshold of 35K HP and my current status is Dolphin.
How much HP is needed to reach Orca status on Hive?
The exact calculation I don't know but to find out how much HP is needed to become an "orca " on Hive I look at the ranking on https://hivebuzz.me/ranking.
The first Hive user who has Orca status above the Dolphin with the most HP is katharsisdrill who has a Hive Power of 56245 HP and is in position 295 of the ranking of users with the most HP.
So 56245 HP is the amount of Hive Power I have to try to accumulate to reach my goal.
Today, May 1, 2023, I have in my Hive wallet an amount of 35094.95 Hive Power (HP).
I also have almost 1000 HBDs that I do not convert to HP because:
- I want to have liquidity to invest in the Hive games that are one of my passions
- I want to have an amount of HBDs to convert to HP in case HIVE drops below a value of $0.35.
I built a chart to track my monthly progress toward Orca status and to self-motivate me at each month's start.
The month of April was a positive month because I increased my Hive Power by +748.66 HP but it was not as good a month as the month of March, which was the month in which I recorded the largest HP increase in 2023 (+1052 HP).
In April I published fewer posts than in March: 19 posts instead of 22, and this is one of the reasons why I decreased the monthly HP increase.

Consistency in publishing is an important element on Hive almost and it is almost as important as interaction, which I consider the most important element.
In the month of May I will try to increase the number of published posts, I would like to be able to publish a post a day but my free time is less and less so it will be a difficult goal to achieve but at the same time it will be a goal that will self-motivate me.
Even though I recorded a smaller increase in HP than the previous month I moved up in the ranking of Hive users with the most HP.
On April 1, 2023, I was in position 428 while today I am in position 420.
To reach Orca status I need to increase my Hive Power by 21150 HP and if I maintain the monthly average of 2023 (+854.2 HP) I should reach my goal in 24.76 months = just over two years.
I hope to reduce this estimated time with possible future income from some projects I follow and have invested in.

I miei obiettivi su Hive + Il mio Hive Power Up - 1 Maggio 2023
Oggi è il 1 maggio 2023 ed è il giorno in cui nel mio paese, l'Italia, e in molti paesi del mondo è la festa dei lavoratori.
Io non ho un lavoro fisso e non ho una retribuzione fissa mensile e per questo motivo nella mia vita ho dovuto sempre pensare ed avere un piano B nel caso in cui le cose fossero andate male.
Fino ad ora ho avuto sempre la fortuna di riuscire a fare più lavori insieme che mi hanno permesso di essere in grado di soddisfare i bisogni della mia famiglia e soprattutto i bisogni di mia figlia che ha 9 anni e sta crescendo come stanno crescendo i suoi bisogni e le sue necessità.
Mi sento anche molto fortunato perchè fino ad oggi sono riuscito a rimanere a vivere dove sono nato, vicino alla mia famiglia e ai miei affetti più cari.
Nel mondo di oggi avere un lavoro non è facile, avere un lavoro gratificante è quasi impossibile e riuscire a rimanere nella propria terra e nella propria città è davvero un'impresa soprattutto se vivi nel sud Italia come me.
Ad esempio i miei compagni della scuola superiore sono quasi tutti andati via dalla mia città per motivi di lavoro e in questo giorno voglio esprimere la mia ammirazione e la mia solidarietà per tutte le persone che vivono e lavorano lontani dal posto in cui sono nati perchè non è mai facile scegliere di allontanarsi dalla propria famiglia e dai propri affetti.
Oggi 1 maggio ho passato una bella giornata di relax con la mia famiglia e nel pomeriggio ho accompagnato mia figlia Chiara e la sua amica Isabella al cinema per vedere il film di animazione di Super Mario.
La mia prima console è stata la Nintendo 8 bit e guardare il film mi ha portato indietro nel tempo.
Oggi 1 maggio è anche una giornata importante sulla blockchain di Hive perchè è il 5° Power Up Day dell'anno 2023.
Fino ad ora ho partecipato a tutti i Power Up Day dell'anno 2023 e il mio obiettivo è fare 12 partecipazioni su 12.
Il primo giorno di ogni mese è anche il momento perfetto per me per monitorare la mia attività sulla blockchain di Hive e per condividere i progressi verso gli obiettivi di crescita che mi sono posto di raggiungere.
Hive è il mio progetto blockchain preferito e mi piacerebbe aumentare il mio peso all'interno della blockchain di Hive.
Sono su Hive da poco più di 4 anni e ho sempre fissato degli obiettivi di crescita che una volta raggiunti sono diventati il punto di partenza verso un nuovo obiettivo.
L'obiettivo attuale che vorrei raggiungere su Hive è acquisire lo status di Orca.
Sulla blockchain di Hive il peso di ogni utente è determinato dal quantitativo di token HIVE staked = Hive Power (HP).
Su Hive, all'interno di determinati range di valori di Hive Power si acquisisce uno status.
Nel mese di aprile ho superato la soglia di 35K HP e il mio status attuale è quello di Delfino.
Quanti HP sono necessari per raggiungere lo status di Orca su Hive?
Il calcolo preciso non lo conosco ma per scoprire quanti HP servono per diventare un "orca" su Hive io guardo il ranking del sito https://hivebuzz.me/ranking.
Il primo utente di Hive che ha lo status di Orca sopra il Delfino con il maggior numero di HP è katharsisdrill che ha un Hive Power di 56245 HP e che si trova nella posizione 295 del ranking degli utenti con più HP.
56245 HP è il quantitativo di Hive Power che devo cercare di accumulare per raggiungere il mio obiettivo.
Oggi 1 maggio 2023 ho nel mio Hive wallet un quantitativo di 35094.95 Hive Power (HP).
Ho anche quasi 1000 HBD che non converto in HP perchè:
- voglio avere liquidità da investire negli Hive games che sono una delle mie passioni
- voglio avere un quantitativo di HBD da convertire in HP nel caso in cui HIVE scenda sotto un valore di 0.35$.
Ho costruito una tabella per monitorare i miei progressi mensili verso lo status di Orca e per automotivarmi ad ogni inizio mese.
Il mese di aprile è stato un mese positivo perchè ho aumentato il mio Hive Power di +748.66 HP ma non è stato un mese positivo come il mese di Marzo che è stato il mese in cui ho registrato l'incremento di HP maggiore nel 2023 (+1052 HP).
Nel mese di aprile ho pubblicato un numero minore di posts rispetto al mese di marzo: 19 post invece di 22 e questo è uno dei motivi per cui ho diminuito l'incremento mensile di HP.

La consistenza nella pubblicazione è un elemento importante su Hive quasi quanto l'interazione che considero l'elemento più importante.
Nel mese di maggio proverò ad aumentare il numero di post pubblicati, mi piacerebbe riuscire a pubblicare un post al giorno ma il tempo libero a mia disposizione è sempre di meno e quindi sarà un obiettivo difficile da raggiungere ma allo stesso tempo sarà un obiettivo che mi automotiverà.
Anche se ho registrato un incremento di HP minore del mese precedente ho comunque fatto un passo in avanti nella classifica degli utenti di Hive con il maggior quantitativo di HP.
Il primo aprile 2023 ero in posizione 428 mentre oggi sono in posizione 420.
Per raggiungere lo status di Orca devo incrementare il mio Hive Power di 21150 HP e se mantengo la media mensile del 2023 (+854.2 HP) dovrei raggiungere il mio obiettivo in 24.76 mesi = poco più di due anni.
Spero di ridurre questo tempo stimato con gli introiti futuri di alcuni progetti che seguo e in cui ho investito.
