It is now clear To The Fans That say Messi Can Not Sign Other Clubs Unlike Ronaldo
This has been the taking point for Ronaldo fans as they said, Messi can not leave Barcelona, Messi can not sign other clubs unlike Ronaldo. Some fans said, "Messi is scared of injury, he might not be able to play the way he played in Barcelona because he might be scared of getting injury from players.
"Barcelona gave him everything he wanted. They treated his growth disorder, paid him well and he also leaves in happiness. What else do you want?.
"How could you leave someone who rescued you anytime you need his service? That was how Lionel Messi was to Barca, he brought Barcelona from scratch to top, he ended the era of Madrid dominance. The club had never achieved what they achieved during the time of Messi. This point could convince you why it was difficult for Messi to sign for other clubs.
"It was not Messi that refused to sign for other clubs, it was Barcelona that refused him to let go".
I thought it was a propaganda that Messi will be leaving Barcelona but I now understood that it is reality. It was a really difficult decision for Catalan but due to Financial Fair Play regulations, they allowed six times Ballon D'or to leave. Barcelona have tried their best to do everything to keep Messi from going to another club but the Catalan could not do enough to keep him. Few days ago, my previous article was about 'Messi's 5-year agreement with Barcelona', unfortunately the contract was thwarted.
Barcelona has been oppressed due to political tension in the country. There were times, when Real Madrid mascaraed Barcelona 11-0; Madrid have won more than 24 La Liga and 8 champions league titles before 2010. Henceforth, Madrid has been dominating Spanish football before Barca came to limelight. When Messi came to limelight in 2009, Barcelona won 4 champions league, they dominated the La Liga, and they became terror to Real Madrid. Therefore, the success of Barcelona is incomplete without Messi. The team survived on him, countless times Messi had rescued Barcelona from defeat.
Initially, Messi have reached agreement with the club for new 5-year contract and also agreed to cut down his wages by 50%; the league rules and regulations made it impossible, Barcelona expected Messi to sign the new contract before joining the club for training; fans were already happy for their savour to play for another five years, the club managements were waiting for this contract to go through.
The bad news to Barcelona fans came on the 5th August 2021, "Leo Messi will not continue with FC Barcelona. The wishes of the player and the club can not be fulfilled". The club knew that they could not make way for Messi in the coming season according to league rules; they tried to manage and keep him by reducing all players wages but yet, they couldn't accommodate him.
Messi bade Farewell to Barcelona in tear at conference room on the 8th of August, 2021. He said " i never wanted to leave Barca, but it is impossible for me. It is the club I love, I have spent 21 years with the club; I am not lying, I wanted to stay with the club and continue winning trophies. I wanted to leave last year but I didn't because of my love for the club. The whole scenario was a shock to me.
I even cut my salary by 50% to enable the club to accommodate me. I was hoping to sign a new contract with the club this month that will keep me till 2026. I agreed to the terms and conditions of the club, I gave them everything they wanted from me. I spent the most memorable part of my life here, I married here, have three kids here, and also this is my home. I thought I would never leave the club because that was my intention".
It was bad news for Barca and great news for Paris Saint German club to sign the greatest footballer of all time. Messi will join his old friends Neymar Jr in PSG, he will also make new friends with the like of the rising star Kylan Mbappe, and other players. The fans and management were happy that Messi could sign for them. Paris Saint German will take a new turn with the arrival of super star.

I was thinking of the number of jersey that he will wear in PSG. I thought the club will collect number 10 from Neymar and give it to Messi but the humble man will be wearing number 30. Number 30 is a unique shirt number for him; that was the shirt he wore in 2004/2005 when he had breakthrough into Barcelona first team. He wore the shirt for two seasons before switching to number 19 and later number 10 which he wore for thirteen seasons. Therefore, number 30 was his breakthrough and he's ready to wear it; he believed that will also be a breakthrough point for him in his new club.

La liga will always be La liga but it might have little financial implications. I could remember when Christiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid, some of the Madrid fans and majority of Ronaldo's fans left Real Madrid and followed him to Juventus. I could remember that was when DSTV subscribed to Seria A which had a little financial implication on Real Madrid because those Ronaldo's fans were not watching Madrid matches and also buying their kit. The same thing will happen as Messi left Barca, some of the fans of Messi will followed him to PSG and also Barcelona fans, which simply means, some of them will stop watching Barca matches. Messi will boost the economy of PSG, even fans that are not PSG's fans will love to watch Messi in PSG. It will bring more fans to the club, fame and even trophies. Clubs that will play against Paris Saint German club both in Champions League and league 1 will have another mindset about the club. They will need to prepare very well and have it in mind that Messi is in the club; his presence will be a tension for some clubs.

I will say it emphatically, PSG needs Champions League trophy. Last two 2019/2020, the club reached final of the tournament but lost to Bayern Munich at the end of 90 minutes. It could have been the first champions league trophy for French side but was blown away. I personally supported PSG to win the Champions League because it was a great opportunity for the club. I was disgusted with the way they were playing because they did not play as if they really wanted it.
In 2020/2021, PSG were knocked out by Manchester City in semi-final of champions league. Therefore, it is not the best team that always win, but the team that prepares most. Every team that has opportunity to play in champions league wants to win it; out of 32 teams, only one will be crowned. With the arrival of Lionel Messi, I predicted PSG will reach quarter-final or even semi-final. For the past 2 seasons, without Messi PSG has been consistent in semi-final.
