These are the words of a nursery song for this cute Australian bird, the Kookaburra, also known as the Laughing Jackass 😁 , for the strange call it sings, seems like a laugh, almost like Joker of the Batman series.

These guys are also called "Bushman's clock" ( wow, they really have a lot of names), because of their habit of calling in the morning and evening; they are big birds, measuring 45 cm (18 in) in length, and 0.5 kg (1.1 lbs) in weight, they tend to wait silently on their tree and attack any crawling creature with a convenient size for them, like worms, insects, snails, birds, mice, lizards, amphibians and snakes, you can see from their phisique that they really enjoy eating and sitting around, ok, I'm just joking, you Kookaburra fans 😄.
The Australian Mint started dedicating coins to this native bird, strating from 1990, so I got the second series of the year after, 1991, and I'm happy because I like the art better than the 1990.
The face value of this coin is only 5 dollars (I know, it should be much more), it's one Oz. with a purity of 999, but I heard that the new coins now are 9999 silver, Wow, I would love to see the 2023 one !!!
It's a beautiful illustratin of the bird sittng on the branch of a tree, I really like the movement the leaves and other branches create, it seems to frame the Kookaburra, and I also like the little details.
You can see a younger Queen Elizabeth II on the other side !!!

Sono le parole di una canzoncina dedicata a questo simpatico uccellino australiano, il Kookaburra, noto anche come Laughing Jackass (l'imbecille che ride) 😁 , per lo strano verso che fa, sembra una risata umana, quasi da Joker della serie Batman.

Queste creature sono anche chiamate "l'orologio di Bushman" (wow, hanno davvero un sacco di nomi), per via della loro abitudine di chiamare la mattina e la sera; sono grandi uccelli, misurano 45 cm (18 pollici) di lunghezza e 0,5 kg (1,1 libbre) di peso, tendono ad aspettare in silenzio sul loro albero e ad attaccare qualsiasi creatura strisciante di dimensioni convenienti per loro, come vermi, insetti, lumache, uccelli, topi, lucertole, anfibi e serpenti, si vede dal loro fisico che a loro piace molto mangiare e stare seduti, ok, sto solo scherzando, fan di Kookaburra 😄.
La zecca australiana ha iniziato a dedicare monete a questo uccello nativo, a partire dal 1990, quindi ho preso la seconda serie dell'anno successivo, 1991, e sono felice perché mi piace di più il basso rilievo rispetto a quella del 1990.
Il valore nominale di questa moneta è di soli 5 dollari (lo so, dovrebbe essere molto di più), è una oncia troy. con una purezza di 999, ma ho sentito che le nuove monete ora sono d'argento 9999, Wow, mi piacerebbe vedere quella del 2023 !!!
È una bellissima illustrazione dell'uccello seduto sul ramo di un albero, mi piace molto il movimento che creano le foglie e gli altri rami, sembra incorniciare il Kookaburra, e mi piacciono anche i piccoli dettagli.
Potete vedere una regina Elisabetta II più giovane dall'altra parte !!!
