The photos of at least two members of the US government are running online and on social media profiles who for Christmas have decided to take a rather special souvenir photo: family unit, therefore also minors, who take up real weapons, all smiling, posing next to the Christmas tree. A strong and inappropriate message, in a country where the number of minors killed by firearms is constantly growing and only a few days after the umpteenth tragedy of weapons in the US, with five teenagers killed at school by a fifteen-year-old friend.
There is something really horrid about it, so blatantly advertising weapons as a gift idea is something disconcerting. On the other hand, I understand that certainly behind those images there is a political movement, the powerful lobbies that often finance the electoral campaigns of the politicians themselves or want to conquer a large slice of the electorate.
In the USA, having a gun is not very difficult: the age limit is 16 and you can go to any authorized shop to buy a pistol or a rifle, without demonstrating any certificate of suitability or authorization issued by any specific body. . As easy as shopping.
The do-it-yourself law or self-defense, although sometimes it can be a means of protecting oneself and one's family in particular areas or replacements, on the other hand throws the population into a small far west where suddenly someone shoots and those bullets are real and cause pain, blood and death.
In Italy it is much more difficult to obtain a weapon such as a pistol or a rifle, it is necessary to carry out several tests, interviews, obtain a license that authorizes the person to own a weapon. It is not possible to buy them in quantity. Of course, although this may be a positive aspect, crime somehow manages to procure a weapon from the black market, but the cases are obviously limited.
The difficulty of finding weapons does not mean that violence is blocked but at least limits those episodes of massacres in schools, places where every boy or child deserves to be safe, a place where the hope of having a better future is cultivated and which more and more often becomes a slaughterhouse. Unfortunately it is also difficult to educate people in the correct use of weapons, having a weapon in your hands I imagine can convey a sense of superiority, omnipotence and this can easily distract clarity in a weak mind or clouded by other unstable thoughts.
But I certainly believe that weapons should absolutely not be associated with children or teenagers, it is really an offense to all those children who are victims of firearms or who have never wanted to hold a weapon in their hands and yet they are forced to do so. , the risk is one's own survival.
We have reached a worrying standard level: many unhealthy things are now considered normal and this is a clear sign of the involution that our society is experiencing.

Un messaggio forte e inappropriato, in un paese dove i minorenni morti per arma da fuoco sono in continua crescita e a solo pochi giorni dall'ennesima tragedia delle armi negli Usa, con cinque teenager uccisi a scuola da un loro compagno quindicenne.
C'è qualcosa davvero di orrido in tutto ciò, pubblicizzare in modo così evidente armi come fosse un'idea regalo, è qualcosa di sconcertante. Capisco d'altro canto che sicuramente dietro quelle immagini ci sia un movimento politico, le lobby potenti che spesso finanziano le campagne elettorali dei politici stessi o si vuole conquistare un'ampia fetta dell'elettorato.
In USA avere un'arma non è molto difficile: il limite d'età è 16 anni e tu puoi andare in qualsiasi negozio autorizzato a comprare una pistola o un fucile, senza dimostrare alcun certificato d'idoneità o autorizzazione rilasciata da un qualsiasi ente specifico. Facile un po' come fare la spesa.
La legge fai da te o l'autodifesa, sebbene a volte possa essere un mezzo per proteggere se stessi e la propria famiglia in particolari zone o sostituzioni, d'altra parte getta la popolazione in un piccolo far west dove all'improvviso qualcuno spara e quei proiettile sono veri e provocano dolore sangue e morte.
In Italia è molto più difficile ottenere un'arma come pistola o fucile, è necessario effettuare diversi test, colloqui, ottenere un patentino che autorizzi la persona a detenere un'arma. Non è possibile acquistarne in quantità. Certo, sebbene questo possa essere un aspetto positivo, la criminalità riesce in qualche modo a procurare arma dal mercato nero, i casi però sono limitati ovviamente.
La difficoltà di reperire le armi non significa che la violenza sia bloccata ma limita quantomeno quegli episodi di stragi nelle scuole, luoghi in cui ogni ragazzo o bambino merita di essere al sicuro, un luogo in cui si coltiva la speranza di avere un futuro migliore e che sempre più spesso diventa un mattatoio. Purtroppo è anche difficile educare la gente al corretto utilizzo delle armi, possedere un'arma tra le mani immagino possa trasmettere un senso di superiorità, onnipotenza e ciò può facilmente distogliere la lucidità in una mente debole o offuscata da altri pensieri poco stabili.
Ma di certo io ritengo che le armi non debbano assolutamente essere associate a bambini o ragazzini, è davvero un'offesa a tutti quei bambini vittime di armi da fuoco o che non hanno mai voluto stringere un'arma tra le mani eppure sono costretti a farlo, il rischio è la propria stessa sopravvivenza.
Abbiamo raggiunto un livello standard preoccupante: molte cose insane sono ritenute ormai normalità e ciò è un evidente segno dell'involuzione che la nostra società sta vivendo.
Abbiamo davvero raggiunto il punto di non ritorno?
