In questi giorni sono iniziate negli Stati Uniti le primarie repubblicane per la scelta del candidato alla presidenza del piu' antico partito del paese.
In Iowa, il granaio d'America momentaneamente sotto neve e gelo ha stravinto Trump.
I due avversari erano De Santis, governatore della Florida di chiara origine italiana che pero' pesca voti nello stesso stagno di Trump e Nikki Haley, ex ambasciatrice all'Onu, figlia di indiani del Punjab che il tiycoon definisce una “non americana”
Al momento la candidatura del tycoon resta virtuale, in attesa della sentenza della Corte Suprema degli Stati Uniti.
La domanda e' semplice; Chi ha giurato fedelta' alla Carta magna voluta dai padri fondatori puo' aver sostenuto una insurrezione?
In un mondo normale la risposta sarebbe scontata ma nella Corte Suprema ci sono 3 giudici nominati da lui, quindi nulla e' semplice.
Nei repubblicani ci sono due correnti, moltissimi pezzi grossi del partito vorrebbero sbarazzarsi di lui ma non ne hanno la forza, nessuno ha il suo consenso nelle primarie.
La base pero' e' fortemente col tycoon ma non sono i soli ed e' questo il vero problema.
I piu' accaniti fan della possibilita' che Trump sia il candidato repubblicano sono proprio i democratici.
Questo e' il paradosso.
La base del partito ovviamente lo odia ma chi ragiona, chi usa la testa e' consapevole che Trump sia il solo candidato che potrebbe dare a Sleepy Joe Biden una qualche possibilita' di vittoria.
Qualunque altro candidato repubblicano rischierebbe di vincere a mani basse contro un presidente rintronato e dopo 4 anni di gestione (o non gestione) del potere sciagurati.
Se Trump sarà candidato una larga parte degli americani andra' a votare o per lui o contro di lui e questa e' la sola possibilta' che ha Biden di vincere.
Sara' una sorta di referendum ad personam, e questo coinvolgera'
anche i menefreghisti, chi non vota da sempre, gli incerti.
La sola speranza per i dem e' che Biden faccia un passo indietro ma l'alternativa non puo' essere la Harris attuale vice-presidente coinvolta nel nulla di questi 4 anni, che potrebbe essere una sciagura peggiore di Sleepy.
Al momento altri candidati di livello non se ne vedono.
La tragedia e' che da una parte c'e' un avventuriero che si gioca tutto e dall'altra una sorta di cadavere che cammina.
Incredibile che l'America non sappia, oggi, essere qualcosa di meglio di questa roba.

At the moment the tycoon's candidacy remains virtual, pending
of the United States Supreme Court ruling.
The question is simple; Who swore loyalty to the Carta Magna
desired by the founding fathers, could it have supported an insurrection?
In a normal world the answer would be obvious but in the Court
In the Supreme Court there are 3 judges appointed by him, so nothing is simple.
In the Republicans there are two currents, many big shots of the
party would like to get rid of him but they don't have the strength, no one has his consent in the primaries.
However, the base is strongly behind the tycoon but they are not the only ones and this is the real problem.
The most avid fans of the possibility that Trump is the candidate
republican are precisely the democrats.
This is the paradox.
The party base obviously hates him but those who think, those who use the
head is aware that Trump is the only candidate who could
give Sleepy Joe Biden any chance of winning.
Any other Republican candidate would risk winning hands down against a stunned president and after 4 unfortunate years of management (or non-management) of power.
If Trump is the candidate, a large part of Americans will vote for him or against him and this is the only chance that Biden has of
WIN.
It will be a sort of ad personam referendum, and this will involve
even the careless, those who haven't voted in forever, the uncertain.
The only hope for the Dems is that Biden takes a step back
but the alternative cannot be Harris, the current vice-president
involved in the nothingness of these 4 years, which could be a worse disaster than Sleepy.
At the moment there are no other high-level candidates in sight.
The tragedy is that on one side there is an adventurer who gambles everything and on the other a sort of walking corpse.
Incredible that America doesn't know how to be something better than this stuff today.
