Pioggia, finalmente 🇮🇹🇬🇧

Venerdi' e sabato della scorsa settimana, finalmente, dalle mie parti ha piovuto, abbastanza copiosamente.
Vivo in bassa Val Susa da oltre 20 anni ma resto un cittadino, un torinese trapiantato, conosco entrambe le sensibilita' nei confronti della pioggia e del maltempo.

Se vivi in citta', soprattutto in una grande citta' come Torino ad esempio, la pioggia (come la neve) e' una bella rottura di coglioni.
Ti devi coprire bene, uscire con l'ombrello o con qualcosa che ti ripari la testa, troverai molto piu traffico rispetto al normale perche' la gente con 4 gocce di pioggia rincoglionisce al volante,
arriverai in ritardo ovunque, troverai buche nelle strade e se piove un po' di piu' i tombini si allagano, il Po esonda ed allora e' un casino davvero.

Se invece vivi in una zona pedemontana a quasi 1000 metri come il sottoscritto vieni a contatto con gente che con la terra ci vive e se non ci vive la conosce comunque bene perche', anche se oggi fa un altro mestiere, il loro padre e prima il nonno erano contadini.
Dalle mie parti non pioveva da novembre, il primo argomento di discussione quando si incontra qualcuno e' sempre il tempo e la pioggia che non arriva.

Se non arriva la pioggia tutte le colture ritardano o arrestano il loro sviluppo, i campi inaridiscono, i comuni devono mandare in giro cisterne d'acqua, i torrenti si seccano, i vecchi dicono che l'assenza di pioggia porta le malattie.
In campagna, in montagna il regolare scorrere delle stagioni e' vitale, un inverno senza neve non va bene (va bene per me che non mi devo spaccare la schiena a spalare) in inverno la neve ci vuole perche', dicono, pulisce il cielo.
Senza contare che se nevica la temperatura raramente scende sotto
lo zero.

Ovviamente stagioni irregolari portano a raccolti irregolari e questo incide sui prezzi al dettaglio di frutta, verdura ma anche latte, uova, carne, formaggio.
Per questa ragione, pure uno che vivrebbe a 30 gradi come il sottoscritto, ha accolto con favore la pioggia di quei due giorni.

You have to cover yourself well, go out with an umbrella or something to protect your head, you will find a lot more traffic than normal because people with 4 drops of rain make people stupid behind the wheel,
you'll arrive late everywhere, you'll find potholes in the streets and if it rains a little more the manholes flood, the Po floods and then it's a real mess.

If, however, you live in a foothill area at almost 1000 meters like myself, you come into contact with people who live with the land and if they don't live there, they still know it well because, even if today he does another job, their father and before my grandfather were farmers.
Where I come from, it hasn't rained since November, the first topic of discussion when you meet someone is always the weather and the rain that doesn't come.

If the rain doesn't come, all the crops delay or stop their development, the fields dry up, the municipalities have to send around water tanks, the streams dry up, the old people say that the absence of rain brings diseases.
In the countryside, in the mountains, the regular passing of the seasons is vital, a winter without snow is not good (it's good for me as I don't have to break my back shoveling) in winter we need snow because, they say, it cleans the sky .
Not to mention that if it snows the temperature rarely drops below
the zero.

Obviously irregular seasons lead to irregular harvests and this affects the retail prices of fruit, vegetables but also milk, eggs, meat and cheese.
For this reason, even someone who would live at 30 degrees like myself welcomed the rain of those two days.
