We luff in the wind!
Hello everyone dear friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I share my latest oil paintings on canvas, very material depicting a sailboat regatta.
The first is static, the position of the boats is without great movements, but the main subject is the central sun, symbolic and prevalent over everything. The picture plays on colors, on strong chromatic contrasts, reds, oranges and yellows collide with greens and blues.

The painting has already been sold and I am very happy because I was afraid it might not like it.
But a painting is not done to please people but to represent a state of mind or a concept.
The second painting is very dynamic and with few dominant colors.

A chromatic play between yellows and blues, with blends between them with some hints of strokes and brushstrokes of white. I tried to realize an idea I had of the movement of boats under the force of the wind, with inclinations of the waves reinforced by long strokes in the air.
A contrast of forces between the verticality of the boats and the inclination of the waves that move them together with the wind.
This subject was also sold.

Orziamo al vento!
Ciao a tutti cari amici e ben tornati sul mio blog. Oggi condivido i miei ultimi dipinto ad olio su tela, molto materici che raffigurano una regata di barche a vela.
Il primo è statico, la posizione delle barche è senza grandi movimenti, ma il soggetto principale è il sole centrale, simbolico e prevalente su tutto. Il quadro gioca sui colori, sui forti contrasti cromatici, i rossi, arancioni e gialli si scontrano con i verdi e blu.
Il quadro è già stato venduto ed io sono molto contento perchè temevo che non potesse piacere.
Ma un dipinto non si fa per farlo piacere alle persone ma per rappresentare uno stato d'animo o un concetto.
Il secondo quadro è molto dinamico e con pochi colori dominanti. Un gioco cromatico tra i gialli e i blu, con fusioni tra loro con qualche cenno di tratti e pennellate di bianco.
Ho cercato di realizzare un'idea che avevo del movimento delle barche sotto la forza del vento, con inclinazioni delle onde rafforzate da pennellate lunghe nell'aria.
Un contrasto di forze tra la verticalità delle barche e l'inclinazione delle onde che insieme al vento le spostano.
Anche questo soggetto è stato venduto. Vi lascio altre mie interpretazioni delle meravigliose barche a vela con tecniche diverse, acquarello e olio.
