Is it time to be a Hive Maximalist?

Don't get the title wrong. This is not a competition of who does more or less for Hive. Here we all know that each user has the capacity to contribute in his own way or measure within the chain. We are in a system where each of its parts plays an essential role in its operation. From developers to content creators, Hive is a set of pieces that are part of a whole, and in that whole is you, me, and each of the users that have connected their keys to the metaverse.

As every part of a whole, each piece has a specific function besides being part of the system. A couple of years ago when the Steemit Take Over happened. Many of us Hivers were faced with a decision. What to do? Maintain a neutral stance in the face of an injustice that was being laid out before our eyes? Stay with Steemit and not support Hive? Stay away from Steemit and support Hive 100%? Operate in both? A lot of questions and very little time to decide, but the choice was not so difficult, at least in my case. As the friend "Tyrion Lannister says "I have a soft spot for cripples, bastards, and broken things", and yes, in Hive I saw an underdog with a lot of potential to excommunicate our sins of Steem, correct the mistakes of the chain, and start fresh in a very key moment for the history of cryptocurrencies.

We were pieces that added to this new crusade, we managed to form a more compact whole among its pieces and as a result. We have one of the most promising blockchains in an environment that looks increasingly competitive.

So what is expected of a Hiver? Is anything expected of us at all? Here most of us are content creators, but as I mentioned earlier there are different roles within the chain. There are many of us who have not invested more than just time to the chain, very valuable indeed, but we should not ignore that there are also large-scale investors in the form of whales, who through their votes and other roles, are somehow sponsoring our personal brand or community projects. Obviously from that sponsorship, even more so if it is constant, we are expected to give some exclusivity to the platform, perhaps it is an unwritten rule and I digress because I want to make it clear that there is absolutely nothing wrong in exploring all the options that are presented to us, first we have the freedom to do so, second in the position we are in the food chain, perhaps it pushes some to explore other options, again and in the name of decentralization that we defend so much, this is a kind of freedom that can not be discussed. However, and from the investors' point of view, we have probably reached to a point where we definitely have to choose. And more so if we are somehow being supported. It's like if we worked at Coca Cola but from time to time we cheer for Pepsi, from a business point of view maybe they wouldn't feel us that committed to the project. I have never liked the maximalist culture, I am one of those who likes to study various styles, but in the case of Hive it is different, I cannot promote another chain that is not the one that has really given me so many opportunities. Are you on the Hive Bandwagon?
