CARIB Pre-sale Date Released
On Monday, May 30th we notified the community of the CARIB Token Presale Date. The core team and early community adopters agreed upon Monday, October 17th, 2022 as the perfect day to host the presale.
October 17th marks Heroes Day in Jamaica. On this day we celebrate our National Heroes and significant figures in our country's development. This gives us an opportunity to market the presale alongside other national events. It also provides enough time to execute on our summer marketing campaigns and the CARIB token airdrop (mentioned below).

When done correctly, airdrops are a huge catalyst for tokenized communities. They provide a means to distribute ownership, decentralize liability and incentivize early supports to deploy the greatest marketing tactic ever: word of mouth.
Keeping in line with the Carib DAO Roadmap, we launched the CARIB Airdrop campaign on June 1st. Participants are asked to follow our social channels and refer friends to earn up to 100 CARIB.

Join Caribbean Crypto Chat on Twitter Spaces
After 5 consistent weeks, our weekly Twitter Space hosted by our core team members @carlsdale, @mbutamwalimu and @donald.porter is growing.
Each Wednesday night at 8pm we meet live to discuss blockchain technology in the Caribbean. What began as an open discussion to share projects, quickly became much more as the community can ask us just about anything on air.

Blockchain Workshop set for Sept. 10th
At our most recent meeting, we decided to take a summer break from our monthly workshops. We believe taking a break every summer is both feasible and rejuvenating.
Our next blockchain workshop will be Saturday, September 10th. After which, we will resume monthly sessions.

Splinterlands NFT Guild Recruitment

Patu.io, the Carib DAO Web3 Platform
Patu is Jamaican patois for Patoo, a Jamaican owl.
We have registered Patu.io, the domain for our upcoming web3 platform and NFT Marketplace powered by the HIVE blockchain.
Here, we will build a space for Caribbean people to share knowledge, incubate ideas, and contribute to our web3 ecosystem. This space will include blogs, video (SPK Network), and a NFT Showroom.
Look-out for the Patu Logo Design Contest late summer!
If you're a Hive OG from the Steem-ages, imagine ReggaeSteem/ReggaeTube with NFTs. To be clear, we won't be re-inventing the wheel; all we plan to do is #PlugInHive and show many in the Caribbean how they can benefit from web3.
A bit about CARIB
Each CARIB token holder is a member of the Carib DAO. By supporting our project and holding CARIB, you are ultimately supporting the Caribbean region as we embark on this new journey into Web3.
The Blockchain Institute of Negril is scheduled to break ground in 2023. In the meantime, we sponsor monthly blockchain workshops and seminars to educate locals and get CARIB into the wallets of those who need it most.
Currently, CARIB enables free access to our workshops, membership in our NFT Guild, speaker preference in our live discussions (ie Twitter Spaces), and express support from the community.
