Para esta oportunidad deseo hablarles de una belleza natural, la flor nacional de mi país; la cual es la Orquídea quien tiene por nombre científico Cattleya Mossiae su decreto como flor nacional fue el 23 de mayo de 1951 y desde entonces es un tesoro más para nuestra tierra.

La Cruz de Mayo como también se le conoce debido a que mayormente esta planta florece para este mes y además que su día se celebra cada 23 de mayo, es una de las pocas flores que lleva en su nombre las cinco vocales del abecedarios lo cual me parece maravilloso. Sus pétalos van desde violeta claro hasta lila intenso, aunque también se le puede encontrar en color blanco y fucsia.

Flor que embellece nuestro jardín con su hermosura y a la que logré capturar su imagen con mi celular para presumir su belleza.

Como desde hace días ha estado lloviendo fuerte, mi hermana decidió retirar la orquídea de la planta y llevarla a la sala de la casa para mantenerla en un florero con agua antes que la lluvia la maltrate, de lo contrario la fuese dejado posando en su hábitat natural ya que allí perdura por largos días si se le da un buen trato.
