What would I do differently?

Made with canva

It's a common thought that most of us often look back on our high school years with a sense of nostalgia. We remember those days of hanging out with friends, first crushes, and late-night study sessions with a fondness that is often hard to match. But, if we were given the chance to do it all over again, would we do things differently?

The answer is undoubtedly yes. With the benefit of hindsight, we can now see the mistakes and opportunities we missed. Here are a few things we'd be sure to do differently if we had the chance to go back to high school:

  1. Focus on academics: We would take our studies more seriously and strive to get the best grades possible. We wouldn't take our education for granted and make the most of every opportunity to learn.

  2. Get involved in extracurricular activities: We would be sure to get involved in things like sports, clubs, and other extracurricular activities. This would help us develop skills and interests that could be valuable later in life.

  3. Spend more time with friends: We would make an effort to spend more time with our friends and family. We wouldn't let schoolwork and other commitments get in the way of enjoying our time with those who mean the most.

  4. Don't be afraid to take risks: We would be less afraid to take risks in our studies and social life. We wouldn't be afraid to go out of our comfort zone and try something new.

  5. Find mentors: We would seek mentors who can advise and guide us on how to make the most of our high school years. Having a person to appear as much as may be a high-quality supply of motivation and inspiration.

These are just a few of the things we would do differently if we had the chance to get back to high school. The important thing is to learn from our past mistakes and make the most of present opportunities. We can start by taking our education seriously, getting involved in activities, spending time with friends, and taking risks. With these changes, we can make the most of our high school years and be better prepared for the future.
