Saludos gente linda de #Photo-Essay, les deseo un feliz domingo a todos. Tenía planeado hacer este post ayer como de costumbre pero por motivos ajenos a mi voluntad tuve que elaborar otro y la semana pasada me falló la luz y el internet. Es decir, se juntó todo, pero ya estoy de vuelta y les traigo fotos especiales, así como una historia bastante curiosa.

  Les presento a Narciso, un cuervito que desde hace unas cuantas semanas viene a mi casa para posarse en las ventanas y ver su reflejo. Este Cuervo no es que viene a verme a mi o a alguien de mi familia, viene a verse a él mismo.

  Y es que quedó anonadado por su reflejo y le da tanta curiosidad que pasa horas picoteando la ventana y haciendo movimientos que honestamente no sé si son de apareamiento o de ataque, no soy experta en cuervos.

  Y bueno, decidimos ponerle de nombre Narciso por pasar tantas horas viendo su reflejo en casi todas las ventanas de la casa. Empezó con las de la sala (como tenemos el aire acondicionado dañado, las ventanas están abiertas, esto hace que el reflejo por fuera se vea más claramente) y es allí que aprovecha esta peculiar ave para pasar su día viéndose como en un espejo.

  Al principio creímos que se estaba peleando con él mismo pero al pasar los días y ver que hacía lo mismo, empezamos a confirmar que se ama a sí mismo tal como lo hacía Narciso. Y es que este cuervito tiene mucho que admirarse, presiento que está enamorado de él mismo.

  En las fotos anteriores intento mostrarles un poco de cómo es el proceso de auto enamoramiento que tiene esta ave. Así es como pasa toda la mañana en la ventana. Extiende sus alas y luego se limpia o se rasca, luego picotea el vidrio como preguntando si hay alguien allí.

  La verdad, desconozco el motivo real de por qué lo hace pero yo sigo creyendo que se admira y muestra amor narcisista hacia él mismo por varias horas. ¿Ustedes qué opinan? Hasta el próximo post! saludos! 💕

  Greetings beautiful people of #Photo-Essay, I wish you all a happy Sunday. I had planned to do this post yesterday as usual but for reasons beyond my control, I had to elaborate on another one and last week my electricity and internet failed. I mean, it all came together, but I'm back now and I bring you special photos and a rather curious story.

  This is Narcissus, a little crow that has been coming to my house for a few weeks now to perch on the windows and see his reflection. He doesn't come to see me or anyone in my family, he comes to see himself.

  He was stunned by his reflection and is so curious that he spends hours pecking at the window and making movements that I honestly don't know if they are mating or attacking, I'm not an expert on crows.

  And well, we decided to name him Narcissus for spending so many hours watching his reflection in almost all the house windows. He started with the ones in the living room (as we have the air conditioning damaged, the windows are open, this makes the reflection on the outside more clearly visible) and it is there that he takes advantage of this peculiar bird to spend his day looking at himself as if in a mirror.

  At first we thought he was fighting with himself, but as the days went by and we saw him do the same, we began to confirm that he loves himself just like Narciso did. And this little crow has a lot to admire, I have a feeling he is in love with himself.

  In the above photos I try to show you a little bit of what the process of self-love is like for this bird. This is how it spends all morning at the window. It spreads its wings and then wipes or scratches itself, then pecks at the glass as if asking if someone is there.

  The truth is, I don't know the real reason why he does it but I still think he admires himself and shows narcissistic love to himself for several hours. What do you think? See you next post! 💕
