How many months has it been since I jumped into film? And it's only now that I get around to color medium format?
I got five rolls of the newly released medium format Kodak 200 "Professional", so I plan to shoot a roll in at least four different cameras. This one is the Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta 530 (affectionately known as the Frau).
What better place to try out the new Kodak 200 film than the Oddities Market in Ocala? Carry around an old timey camera and you're bound to start conversations.
I almost got roped into buying a Kodak Autographic for $10, but when I finally managed to get it open the billows were destroyed on the inside. It would have made a fun display piece but I decided against it.
The whole day was blazing hot, but it was a fun market nonetheless.
After dark was still warm, and it presented a challenge to the 200 ISO film. I don't mind a little blur. The biggest challenge for the 200 speed film is definitely the settings. I used my DSLR to test a few and it seemed to work well, except that the Frau is not nearly as precise to adjust.
Overall, I am impressed with the Kodak 200 film. I'm not used to fresh color so that definitely helps. I can only blame my developer for colors being off or faded.
I have a few more shots from this roll, but they don't fit the theme here so I'll save them for another post. See you next time!
