Hello, how are you? Welcome to my participation in pukumundo's singing voice contest, week #24.

It had been a while since I approached this community, I have not had the opportunity to participate due to several mishaps that I have already mentioned in the form of brief anecdotes in other posts, well, things of life. Now, I was quite undecided with my choice for this occasion, until I woke up with a little emotional decay, which led me to the memory of a song of a band I heard for the first time when I was five years old: Jarabe de palo. This is a rock band of Spanish origin, its vocalist, Pau Dones, died a couple of years ago, I think that when I learned of his death from cancer there was still quarantine.

Ya había pasado un tiempo desde que me acerque a esta comunidad, no he tenido la oportunidad de participar debido a bastantes percances que ya he mencionado en forma de breves anécdotas en otros post, en fin, cosas de la vida. Ahora, estuve bastante indeciso con mi elección para esta ocasión, hasta que me desperté con un pequeño decaimiento emocional, lo que me llevo al recuerdo de una canción de una banda que escuche por primera vez a los cinco años: Jarabe de palo. Esta es una banda de rock de origen español, su vocalista, Pau Dones, murió ya hace un par de años, creo que cuando me enteré de su muerte a causa del cáncer aún había cuarentena.

I say that I remembered this song that I bring today, which bears the name: "De vuelta y vuelta" (back and forth) because it speaks of a moment in which depression and darkness are positioned above the ability to perceive the world in an optimal way, in simple words, speaks of a day of bad mood and depression quite irritating. I think we all go through days like this, these moods are quite frequent, in my particular case, I am quite bitter and it usually happens to me haha. However, there are times when I look at myself and I can perceive a quite damaging lack of control for me and the people around me, which makes me really try to stop and calm down a bit.

Digo que me acordé de esta canción que hoy traigo, la cual lleva el nombre de: "De vuelta y vuelta" (back and forth) debido a que la misma, habla de un momento en el cual la depresión y la oscuridad se posicionan por encima de la capacidad de percibir el mundo de una forma óptima, en simples palabras, habla de un día de mal humor y depresión bastante irritante. Creo que todos pasamos por días así, estos estados de ánimo son bastante frecuentes, en mi particular caso, soy bastante amargado y me suele pasar jaja. Sin embargo, hay veces que me observo y puedo percibir un descontrol bastante dañino para mí y las personas que me rodean, lo que hace que de verdad intente detenerme y calmarme un poco.

In the end, the world keeps turning, things take their course, time has the last word and things don't always suit our preference and convenience. I believe that by accepting that we can understand that it is not necessary to be discouraged. Of course, what I have also been able to observe in myself and in other people, is that low moods can be caused by many reasons; such as stress, past trauma, anxiety. Life is not easy for anyone, it is very normal to feel bad sometimes, that is why I have also tried to observe myself when I feel bad and understand my emotions, I do not think that fighting against bad moods as if it were a war is going to bring a solution.

Al final, el mundo sigue girando, las cosas toman su rumbo, el tiempo tiene la última palabra y no siempre las cosas se adaptan a nuestra preferencia y conveniencia. Creo que al aceptar eso podremos entender que no es necesario desanimarse. Claro, en lo que también he logrado observar en mi y en otras personas, es que los bajos estados de ánimo pueden ser causados por muchas razones; como por ejemplo el estrés, algún trauma del pasado, ansiedad. La vida no es fácil para nadie, es muy normal sentirse mal a veces, por eso es que yo he tratado también de observarme cuando me sienta mal y comprender mis emociones, no creo que luchar contra el mal humor como si fuera una guerra vaya a traer una solución.
