Hello, howdy friends of #PukuMundo and #hive, today I'm participating again, sharing with you a little bit of this beautiful and noble musical genre. I remind you, I'm not a singer, even so I give my maximum effort in each of my participations.
For this week I bring you a heavy metal song (my favorite genre), from an Argentine band called Tren Loco. This band, unfortunately, a few days ago lost its founder, main composer and bass player, Gustavo Zabala, to cancer.
Venas de acero, like most of this band's songs, has a protest feel to it. It is a fast and somewhat aggressive song. It is also about the feeling of being a metalhead, being proud of who you are and never forgetting your roots.
An anecdote: Tren Loco performed in Venezuela in 2012, on March 31st at the Diego Ibarra square in Caracas. I, along with a large group of friends, went from here (Cumaná) to attend the festival. In the middle of the presentation of the band Tren Loco, the guitarist Facundo Coral threw, among other things, the flannel that I am holding in the following picture. I jumped and caught it in the air, when I fell the people around me tried to take it away from me, but I held it tightly and after a long time of struggling and arguing I was able to keep it.
Metal is not a pose, nor is it a passing fashion
It's a way of life.
It's a path between desires and thorns
It's the destiny I chose
To bear the pain
Wherever the place is
And not to fall when I fall
To get up and peel
MY VEINS OF STEEL
AND MY METAL FEELING
WILL SHOW ME WHERE TO GO
AND START AGAIN
WITH ME I WAIT FOR YOU
TO CROSS A THOUSAND PATHS
LIKE THE ROADS OF A COUNTRY
STEEL VEINS
Q.E.P.D. Gustavo.
