"Fix you" talks about true love, helping someone in your time of need, and learning from our mistakes.
The opening lyric of the song describes a circumstance in which someone is essentially lost, unable to move forward or back and even his greatest efforts may not be enough to get him through the situation; That is where the assistance of someone else comes in helpful.
This song makes me realise that everything around me has an expiration date! Even those I love closest and dearest to my heart. I just have to accept that one day it will all come to an end, and I will feel as if a large part of you has also gone away with them.

La letra inicial de la canción describe una circunstancia en la que alguien está esencialmente perdido, incapaz de avanzar o retroceder. Incluso sus mayores esfuerzos pueden no ser suficientes para superar la situación; ahí es donde la ayuda de otra persona resulta útil.
Esta canción también me hace ver que todo lo que me rodea tiene una fecha de caducidad. Incluso los seres más queridos. Sólo tengo que aceptar que un día todo llegará a su fin, y sentiré como si una gran parte de ti también se hubiera ido con ellos.
Será entonces cuando más necesite que me arreglen.
