The Mysteries Behind The Cross

Hello Hivians. It's my pleasure to share with you what I title the Mysteries Behind the Cross.

The cross should be something everyone or every believer must try to know its mysteries.

I will be revealing the mysteries behind the cross based on my knowledge about the cross, what it stands for, and the benefits we have gotten ever since we started hearing about the cross.

**WHAT IS CROSS **?
The Cross represents the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, as well as Christianity.

Cross, on the other hand, represents death and suffering. Anyone, who carries the cross, is a deliverer, and a messiah.

The cross was not meant for people who were operating in the flesh. Rather, it was for those who were highly fortified and vested with the power, and authority to carry the cross.

I want to use our Lord Jesus Christ as an instance. He came into the world in the form of a baby. He grew up with both good and bad people.

He didn't have any choice until when the time for his earthly ministry was at hand. Had it been, he hadn't given birth to, just like everyone else, his people wouldn't have believed in him. That alone would have stopped him from hanging on to the cross to save mankind.

**WHAT ARE MYSTERIES **

Mysteries have a deeper meaning than the cross. When I talk about mysteries, I mean those things that are hidden from people who might have shown interest in knowing them. Examples of mysteries are parables.

One can never know the true meaning of a parable if the person who came up with the parable doesn't give an interpretation of what he or she has said.

I will be telling us what mysteries are all about. Mysteries are those things that seem so hard for people to understand. They're beyond human understanding.

No earthly person can unlock or reveal the mysteries of the kingdom, except God. It takes a man or woman who is spiritually sound, to reveal the mysteries in his or her family.

Jesus Christ knew the mysteries behind his earthly ministry. He knew what he would pass through while doing his father's will.

No wonder he urged his disciples to pray when it was close to the hour of his crucifixion. His disciples were walking in the flesh, but he who knows the mysteries behind his crucifixion was walking in the spirit.

Cross needs readiness and acceptance. He who wishes to be like Jesus must be willing to comply, to bear this same cross that was born by Jesus.

The one he took on his shoulders, was a physical cross. But the one we as Christians are asked to bear is not that different from the one he took. It's just that, we cannot see it with our physical eyes. But, we believe, we're carrying it.

**MYSTERIES BEHIND THE CROSS **

(1)Cross symbolizes shame. We all know that the cross was meant for thieves who were known as bad People in society. But, that was where he hung, for the sake of mankind.

(2)Cross stood for peace.

(3)It also, stood for submission. Our Lord Jesus Christ demonstrated that on the cross while yielding to his Father's will.

**BENEFITS OF THE CROSS **
Those who have a good knowledge of the mysteries behind the cross can boldly relate the benefits they've enjoyed ever since they got to know about the cross.

The following, are the benefits:

(1) The cross brought healing and redemption to God's people.

(2)The cross, brought victory to Christians. They were publicly declared victorious after the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The mysteries behind this cross, are more than what I've listed here. Getting to know God means you want to know more about the cross and the benefits you will have.

May his grace, be sufficient unto you, Amen.

Thank you for your time.
