Robinson R44 Raven II Helicopter Landing At Three Thirty Airstrip In The Philippines

On October 30 2019, a Robinson R44 Raven II helicopter landed at Three Thirty airstrip in Ronda, south Cebu, Philippines.

This was the first ever landing for any kind of helicopters at the airstrip. It was a chartered flight operated by airtaxi.ph. A tourist who didn't want to spend 3 to 4 hours in a car to make the journey from the international Mactan Airport in Cebu to the touristic town of Moalboal hired the aircraft. He saved himself a lot of time, spending only about 35-40 minutes flying above the beautiful landscape of south Cebu before ending the journey with a 20 minutes car ride from the airstrip to his hotel.

The Robinson R44 Raven II was introduced in 1993. It is a single-engined helicopter with a semi-rigid two-bladed main rotor, a two-bladed tail rotor and a skid landing gear. It has an enclosed cabin with two rows of side-by-side seating for a pilot and three passengers. It is world's best-selling general aviation helicopter since 1999 and is very often used for travel or sightseeing tours.
