Hi everyone,
Welcome to my post! This is my entry for the #monomadchallenge.
Today is a not-so-beautiful day in Da Nang and to change the atmosphere, my best friend and I ran along the banks of the romantic Han River to relax and find new inspiration. When we ran along to the foot of the blessed bridge, we saw thousands of boats parked close to each other. They are the livelihood of many local households here.
Boats moored here are not just a means of livelihood. According to my understanding of the meaning of boats, it also has an extremely deep historical and cultural significance in Vietnamese life. Many cultural researchers assert that the image of the roof of an ancient Vietnamese pagoda is the silhouette of the bow of a surfing boat. An old Vietnamese house in the shape of a boat. The sagging part in the middle of the roof of the Vietnamese communal house is still called "the boat bed". In short, in search of Vietnamese identity, it is impossible not to learn the symbol of the boat!
The image of a boat and a river has left a strong impression on Vietnamese life. A clear manifestation is that most aspects of human life take boats, rivers as standards and objects of comparison. This not only appears in folk songs, proverbs, and idioms, but even today, in modern society, Vietnamese people use words bearing the mark of their daily speech. rivers in a very natural and close way.
Attached to the rivers in addition to the boat there are bridges. The image of a bridge in human thought already contains the conventional meanings of life. It is the connection, the meeting between two lands, the establishment of new relationships between land and land, between people and people. Besides, the image of the bridge is also the overcoming of difficulties, the mastery of nature for development, to reach out to influence the neighboring areas. Therefore, the bridge itself has always had a conventional meaning for the enhancement of social relationships and modern movement.

Have a nice day.😋
