While on my way to do photos at Lake Ontario, I saw the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King church. Located in the west end of Hamilton Ont. The dark, moody clouds behind it gave a vibe that I could not resist! The feel was perfect for a post in the #monomad challenge.
The church is heavily influenced by European Gothic architecture and built with Indiana limestone. The cornerstone was taken from Roman catacombs, symbolizing unity with the ancient church. The doors opened in 1933 and it has served the community since then.
