Es un gusto saludarlos, a continuación quiero presentarles mi temática sobre Leyendas Urbanas
En esta ocasión quiero enseñarles la leyenda de “El Pescador del Rio”.

This time I want to show you the legend of "the river fisherman".
.- Un cálido y luminoso día de Mayo pescaban Pedro y Juan, en el río Uribante. Amarraron la lancha a un árbol en la orilla y lanzaron sus redes de pesca. El río estaba en su cauce normal. Las aguas límpidas y frías corrían de la montaña a las llanuras. En sus orillas se veían extensas playas y gran vegetación; otras veces el agua llegaba profunda hasta las riberas.
One warm, bright day in May, Pedro and Juan were fishing in the Uribante River. They tied the boat to a tree on the shore and cast their fishing nets. The river was in its normal course. The clear, cold water flowed from the mountains to the plains. On its banks there were extensive beaches and large vegetation; at other times the water reached deep to the banks.

.- En ese momento Juan escucha un sonido a lo lejos de una red de pescar y le pregunta a Pedro ¿escuchas el sonido silbante de una red de pescar?
.- Juan: ¿Escuchaste?
.- en ese momento luego de Juan avisarle a Pedro, suena una vez más el sonido inconfundible de red de pesca lejos de donde ellos están.
.- Si escuche, responde Pedro es ruido de red de pesca, pero ¿quién las lanza?, le preguntó Pedro a Juan.
.- No lo sé responde Juan, por estos lados no estamos más que nosotros. La mañana está tranquila y los únicos ruidos son los de las aguas y los pájaros.
At that moment John hears a sound of a fishing net in the distance and asks Peter, "Do you hear the whistling sound of a fishing net?
Juan: Do you hear it?

.- Juan y Pedro Miraron a todas direcciones y solo vieron la llanura inmensa, tupida selva, el río de corrientes rápidas y el cielo azul.
.- Recogieron sus redes y sacaron unos cuantos bagres pintados de mediano tamaño. Los volvieron a echar y otra vez:
.- Sasssss....sasssss...sasssss, seguido de los golpes secos:
.- Zas - zas.
.- Durante todo el día escucharon el sonido de la red de pescar lanzada por manos invisibles.
Juan and Pedro looked in all directions and saw only the vast, dense jungle plain, the fast-flowing river and the blue sky.
They picked up their nets and pulled out a few medium-sized painted catfish. They cast them out again and again:
.- Sasssssss....sasssss...sasssss...sasssss, followed by the dry thumps:
.- Zas - zas.
All day long they listened to the sound of the fishing net thrown by invisible hands.

En ese momento Pedro se acordó de una Leyenda que le habían contado a él en pescas anteriores.
Era el “Pescador de Rio” se acordó pedro de la leyenda que anteriores pescadores le contaron a él e inmediatamente se la cuenta a su amigo y así dice:
.- Pedro: compadre ya sé que está sucediendo, le dice a Juan. Es él “Pescador de Rio”, existe una leyenda muy triste sobre él.
.-Dice Juan a Pedro: Cuéntamela que sucedió con el “Pescador de rio”.
.-En eso Pedro le dice a Juan: Claro que sí, Cuenta la leyenda que una vez un pescador estaba pescando en el rio Uribante, para llevarle comida a su linda familia, ya finalizando su jornada feliz y en camino llevando el pan para su familia, comienza a llover fuertemente y de pronto el rio sin avisar crece inmensamente e inunda todo, el pescador comienza a correr y antes de llegar a su hogar para salvar a su familia el rio Uribante arremete violentamente contra el llevándose a su paso al pescador y destruyendo su casa, matando así a toda su familia, y el pescador con un dolor fuerte en el alma y con gran llanto se deja llevar por el rio y así encontrar la muerte junto a su familia.
At that moment Pedro remembered a legend that had been told to him in previous fishing trips.

. -At that Pedro says to Juan: Of course, the legend says that once a fisherman was fishing in the Uribante river, to bring food to his beautiful family, when he was finishing his happy day and on his way to bring bread for his family, it starts to rain heavily and suddenly the river grows immensely without warning and floods everything, The fisherman begins to run and before reaching his home to save his family, the Uribante River violently rushes against him taking the fisherman and destroying his house, killing his whole family, and the fisherman with a strong pain in his soul and with great tears is carried away by the river and thus meet his death with his family.
.-Pedro le dice a Juan, los pescadores de la zona dicen que cuando entra el mes de mayo existe el recuerdo del pescador de rio, y Las redes de los pescadores muertos en el río, también es símbolo de buen augurio ya que advierte a nuevos pescadores cuando es el mes de mayo. Luego de que Pedro termina de contarle la Leyenda a Juan, continúan así con su jornada de pesca en el rio Uribante.
Pedro tells Juan, the fishermen of the area say that when the month of May comes, there is the memory of the river fisherman, and the nets of the dead fishermen in the river, it is also a symbol of good omen because it warns new fishermen when it is the month of May. After Pedro finishes telling the Legend to Juan, they continue with their fishing journey in the Uribante River.
.-Ya finalizada su jornada terminando la pesca la cual fue abundante porque pescaron: bagres, cachamas, toros y doradas. En la tarde vendieron sus pescados en el poblado cercano.
.- Al oscurecer sacaron la lancha del río y la amarraron fuertemente. Colgaron sus hamacas en un rancho de unos compadres y se dispusieron a dormir.
.- Sintieron un ruido ensordecedor y de un salto salieron del rancho. Llamaron Pedro y Juan al compadre:
.- ¡Compadre!
.- Dice el compadre: Ya va compadres.
Dicen con gran temor Pedro y Juan: ¡Viene una abundada!
.- El compadre dice: Tiene que estar lloviendo en la cabecera del río.
At the end of their day, they finished fishing, which was abundant because they caught catfish, cachamas, toros and doradas. In the afternoon they sold their fish in the nearby village.
At dusk they took the boat out of the river and tied it tightly. They hung up their hammocks on a ranch belonging to some compadres and went to sleep.
They felt a deafening noise and jumped out of the ranch. Pedro and Juan called out to the compadre:
Compadre!
The compadre said: "Coming, compadres!
Pedro and Juan said with great fear: "There's a lot of rain coming!
It must be raining at the headwaters of the river.
.- Y efectivamente, el agua bajaba con gran estrépito. En un instante había rebasado sus riberas y se precipitaban a gran velocidad trayendo consigo piedras y palos. Aguas tumultuosas bajaban de la montaña arrastrando con todo lo que encontraban al paso.
.- Entre todo ese torbellino, entre ese ruido característico de las crecidas, sobresalieron unos gritos. Gritos escalofriantes que se repetían mientras el rio se llevaba todo a su paso dejando a los hombres mudos.
.- El compadre exclama:
.- ¡Esos son los gritos del “Pescador de rio sufriendo por la muerte de su familia “y de los ahogados en el río Uribante!. Estos siempre se oyen en mayo cuando el río crece.
And indeed, the water was coming down with a great roar. In an instant it had overflowed its banks and was rushing at great speed, bringing with it stones and sticks. Tumultuous waters were rushing down the mountain, sweeping away everything in their path.
Amidst all that whirlwind, amidst the characteristic noise of the floods, some shrieks stood out. Chilling screams that were repeated while the river carried everything in its path, leaving the men mute.
The compadre exclaimed:
Those are the cries of the "river fisherman suffering for the death of his family" and of those drowned in the Uribante River! These are always heard in May when the river rises.
