Hello dear monochromatic #Hive friends!... A new year begins and here I am with you again sharing my street photography work with you. And as usual, this is my entry to today's #monomad challenge... Let's go for the photos then!

¡Hola queridos amigos monocromáticos en #Hive!... Comienza un nuevo año y aquí estoy nuevamente con ustedes compartiendo mi trabajo de fotografía callejera con ustedes. Y como ya es usual, esta es mi entrada al reto #monomad de hoy... ¡Vayamos a por las fotos entonces!

As you can see, today we are dealing with rather simple street photos... These photos are something like "me looking at the street and guessing a title in the air for what I see". As you know, I love to write things on the posts I share. This has been transforming even my way of taking pictures, because it is common that while I am walking down the street, I am already imagining and preparing the lines of text to accompany some of these images... I'm usually a guy with a very bad memory, but I'm ecstatic when I realise how easy it is for me to remember titles and texts invented in the streets, when I'm then at my PC editing... (Yes, looking at what I write, I'd be willing to bet that this 2024 I'll be a bit crazier than 2023).

Como podrán ir observando, hoy se trata de fotos callejeras bastante simples... Estas fotos son algo así como "yo mirando la calle e inventando un título en el aire para lo que veo". Tal como ustedes saben, me encanta escribir cosas en las publicaciones que comparto. Esto ha ido transformando incluso mi manera de hacer fotografías, pues es común que mientras voy por la calle, ya esté desde ese momento imaginando y preparando las lineas de textos para acompañar algunas de estas imágenes... Por lo general soy un tipo con muy mala memoria, pero me siento extasiando percatándome de cuan fácil se me hace recordar títulos y textos inventados en las calles, cuando estoy luego en mi PC editando... (Sí, viendo lo que escribo, me a atrevería a apostar que este 2024 estaré un poco más loco que el 2023).

December was a contrasting month. During its days people tried to get better and forget the typical hardships of this small and complicated town. Then, some who were far away came back to spend Christmas and New Year with their families, which made many of them cheerful. The town moved at a different pace, but now in January those same people who came will have to leave again. So all this is reflected in the streets and even affects my perception as a street photographer. This is a very "psychological" kind of photography, both for the photographer and the observer. At least it seems that way to me.

Diciembre fue un mes de contrastes. Durante sus días la gente intentó estar mejor y olvidar las penurias típicas de este pueblo pequeño y complicado. Entonces, algunos que estaban lejos volvieron para estar en navidad y año nuevo con sus familias, eso hizo que muchos estuvieran alegres. El pueblo se movió a otro ritmo, pero ahora en Enero esos mismos que vinieron tendrán que volver a irse. Entonces todo esto se refleja en las calles e incluso afecta mi percepción como fotógrafo de calle. Este es un tipo de fotografía muy "psicológica" tanto para el que la hace como para el que la observa. Cuando menos a mi me parece que es así.

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.

NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape 3.6.3.
