One of My Favourite Cities
With more than 400 years of history, the city of Puerto la Cruz is a true bastion of the Venezuelan east coast, its strategic location and the natural beauties that surround it make it an unmissable destination on any trip to Venezuela. It has always been characterised as a purely commercial settlement, where port life and large companies have made its streets truly productive places. In the modern times we live in today, tourism, oil and the port are the main engines that move a city that is always looking towards the future, preparing to receive many visitors, but without leaving aside an immense past from which many customs, beliefs and traditions have been inherited.

Una de Mis Ciudades Favoritas
Con más de 400 años de historia la ciudad de Puerto la Cruz es un verdadero baluarte de la costa oriental venezolana, su ubicación estratégica y las bellezas naturales que la rodean hacen que ella sea un destino imperdible en cualquier viaje por Venezuela, siempre se ha caracterizado por ser un asentamiento netamente comercial, en donde la vida portuaria y las grandes empresas han hecho de sus calles lugares realmente productivos. En los tiempos modernos que hoy vivimos, el turismo, el petróleo y el puerto, son los motores principales que mueven ciudad que siempre está mirando hacia el futuro, preparándose para recibir a muchos visitantes, pero esto sin dejar de lado un pasado inmenso desde el cual se heredan muchas costumbres, creencias y tradiciones.
Puerto la Cruz is one of those cities that you fall in love with at first sight, in it you live to the rhythm of the Caribbean, but you can also find nuances of our native peoples, elements of European culture and subtle details from many corners of the world, since due to its port characteristics these streets and avenues are trodden by people from distant nations and often without them realising it, they leave a little of their essence in our homeland, which mixes with our way of doing things and results in an increasingly multicultural identity.
Puerto la Cruz es de esas ciudades que enamoran a primera vista, en ella se vive al ritmo del Caribe, pero también podemos encontrar matices de nuestros pueblos originarios, elementos propios de la cultura europea y detalle sutiles de muchos rincones del mundo, ya que por sus características portuarias estas calles y avenidas son pisadas por personas procedentes de naciones lejanas y muchas veces sin ellas darse cuenta van dejando en nuestra patria un poquito de su esencia, la cual se va mezclando con nuestra forma de hacer las cosas y da como resultado una identidad cada vez más pluricultural.
This is a city that looks beautiful in black and white, since in these shades we can digress into the details and characteristics of a settlement that has grown and developed spontaneously, without a pre-established order and with an architectural configuration that is really striking, but where privileged spaces have been left for the enjoyment of pedestrians, tourists and visitors. The two-tone technique is ideal to show the world the true face of this coastal city, which is bathed in nature, full of great monuments and at the same time has a sober and interesting urban profile, ready to be photographed without any inconvenience and showing us one of the most beautiful faces of the Venezuelan east.
Esta es una ciudad que en blanco y negro se ve hermosa, puesto que en esos matices podemos divagar en los detalles y características de un asentamiento que ha crecido y se ha desarrollado de manera espontánea, sin un orden preestablecido y con una configuración arquitectónica que es realmente llamativa, pero en donde se ha dejado espacios privilegiados para el disfrute de los peatones, turistas y visitantes. La técnica de los dos tonos es ideal para mostrarle al mundo la verdadera cara de esta ciudad costera, la cual está bañada de naturaleza, repleta de grandes monumentos y al mismo tiempo cuenta con un perfil urbano sobrio e interesante, dispuesto a dejarse fotografiar sin ningún tipo de inconvenientes y mostrándonos una de las caras más bellas de todo el oriente venezolano
