MONOMAD - City center traffic (5 photos)

Right in the center of Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius. This corner is the crossroad of Royal Road and DrJoseph Riviere Street. Royal Road is one of the main roads. I am sitting here for a while, taking photos. The photos are taken within one minute. The trafic is hectic and quite chaotic. There is no trafic light. I noticed a couple who first crossed the street along Royal Road. Then they waited for the opportunity to cross it, coming in my directions. The women on my side of the street, also took the chance on crossing at the same time. The building in the background is the Jummah Mosque. It's the largest and one of the most important mosques in Port Louis, dating back to the 1850s. The buidling has a combination of Indian, Creole and Islamic architecture.
