These photos were taken in Novmeber at the Takamaka winery in Mauritius. This is a very small winery and the only one on the island. They don't even make wine from grapes. What they do, is that they make wine from the tropical fruit lychees, which grows on the island. A wine tasting at Takamaka, was different, but we did start with a walk around the place with a guide who introduced us to how this winemaking actually started. Quite an original and a real surprise that left us thinking that it is really possible to make excellent wines from lychees.
