Exciting News: I’m the New Ecency Guest Curator + Fresh #Monomad Photos

So, while I’ve been buzzing about my #monomad challenge entry, I’ve got some awesome news to share that’s got me pretty stoked! 🎉

A few days ago, I threw my hat in the ring to be a guest curator for the Ecency community, and guess what? Today, I got the green light on Discord... I’m in! 🙌 I’m super excited to jump into this gig and help the community.

I’ve been eyeing this curation gig for a while, and it’s finally happening. I’ve gotten a ton of support from curators in the past, so it’s high time I returned the favor. Plus, I’m keen to level up my own curation game. Seeing how the Ecency team rewards awesome content creators has been inspiring, and I’m pumped to be part of it, even if it’s just for a month.

Now, onto my #monomad photo adventure! 📸 I’ve been out and about, capturing some cool spots and sights around the city. For me, wandering the streets and finding the perfect shot feels like a treasure hunt; there’s something thrilling about uncovering those hidden gems and unique angles that make a photo pop.

Although I recently posted about capturing people on the street and inside the MRT, it’s not something I really excel at. In fact, I prefer photographing static objects like buildings, vehicles, bridges, and nature. I enjoy shooting these subjects because they don’t put pressure on me to get the perfect shot. Unlike people, who might feel uncomfortable if they’re unaware I’m taking their photo, static subjects are always willing participants.

So, most of the photos I’ll be sharing today feature architectural details, motorcycles, and an interesting corner along the walkway. I think these subjects will make a compelling showcase for the followers of this photography challenge.

Today’s collection mixes everything from classic old-school architecture to the sleek lines of modern skyscrapers. I’ve also got some shots of the everyday stuff that makes the city vibe.

This kind of urban exploration gives me the freedom to show off my creativity and introduce my city to the Hive community. Every city has its charm and quirks, and I love capturing both the beauty and the rough edges.
